Plano ISD, Texas - Three Texas mothers have filed a federal lawsuit against Plano ISD. They were falsely accused and arrested after resisting efforts to take control of an independent choir booster club and its privately raised funds. The women were later cleared when a grand jury declined to indict them.

The lawsuit claims Plano ISD employees and others coordinated to remove booster club leadership, seize control of the organization, and use criminal allegations against parents who opposed those efforts. The plaintiffs are seeking damages and alleging violations of their constitutional rights.

Isabel Lopez, 27, from St. Paul was hit with a federal indictment for multiple counts of assaulting and impeding officers, including punching an FBI agent at the time of her arrest, plus obstruction during civil disorder.

She resolved the entire case by paying $25 and walking out. No real prison time. No meaningful consequences.
