14) Called to be Friends by @IanDaGalloway
This book is detailed & incredibly helpful for seeing the OT background behind John’s gospel & to see Jesus all the clearer & meet with him.
At points this book helped me fall to my knees in worship of our saviour. Excellent.
1) Baptism in the Holy Spirit - James Dunn
This was a great first book of the year. Another great recommendation from @IanDaGalloway. I thought this was clearly thought through, well put and convincing. Also contained the single best explanation of Acts 8 I’ve read!
I did 4 years of Newfrontiers Leadership training and the highlight was 4 days on John's gospel with @IanDaGalloway. Good to see him still mining it's depths 20 years later!
Loved meeting up with Ben Virgo of Christian Heritage London @RememberLondon to discuss life, leadership, and the gospel of John! Check out the podcast.
Ian Galloway (@IanDaGalloway) started, and for 33 years was pastor of, City Church, Newcastle.
Now Director Of The Free Church Track at Durham Univ, and author of Called to be Friends (@HodderBooks) on John's gospel, it was superb to talk with him at: https://t.co/wKX3SH7Ysj
