On Friday, 13th February 2026, TI-Kenya ALAC Western hosted the 2nd edition of the Public Discourse at the Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK) main campus in Kisumu, in collaboration with @wecarecbo and the @EACCKenya

This engagement focused on strengthening youth participation in governance processes, bringing together over 200 students under a shared goal of consolidating the GLUK Transparency and Integrity Club as a vibrant, student-led hub for civic action.

Through dynamic panel discussions, peer mentorship sessions, and practical conversations on innovative corruption reporting, students enhanced their capacity to champion ethical leadership and accountability in their respective spaces.

Earlier this week, @TIKenya and @katibainstitute made a joint submission to the Finance and Planning Committee and the Public Debt and Privatization Committee of the National Assembly, chaired by Hon. Francis Kuria Kimani, MP (Molo), and Hon. Abdi Shurie, on the proposed partial divestiture of Safaricom PLC by the Government of Kenya.

📢Inclusion is essential for building fair, just, and accountable systems in society.
TI Kenya, through the Eldoret ALAC team, is currently implementing the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) project in the North Rift region to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities and marginalized groups in governance and anti-corruption efforts.

ℹ️This project focuses on empowering and sensitization of community members on use of digital reporting tools such as the UwajibikajiPamoja Platform and Action for Transparency (A4T) App to safely report corruption and actively participate in accountability processes.

These platforms as well seek to strengthen transparency, integrity, and accountability while ensuring that all voices, especially those often excluded, are meaningfully represented in efforts to build fair and just systems.
