I'm especially thrilled to discover nodes that produce JavaScript-driven interactive visualization windows for both data exploration and data presentation tasks.
Looking forward to diving deeper this week.
I recently worked through the L1 "data wrangler" learning path for the @knime Analytics Platform and continue to be impressed with this tool's flexibility and vast range of data processing connectors, transformations, and visualizations.

Smart approach to marketing analytics: Pernod Ricard is using it to optimize its portfolio strategy, mapping "consumption moments" in consumer data and measuring investment and returns across brands.

- A range of output nodes, allowing the bundling of multiple reports into a single multi-tab Excel file (for example), or the creation of a line chart and its export as an SVG file.
Next up: machine learning in KNIME. Looking forward to this.
- "Variable" nodes to convert a data field into a variable that can be used dynamically by other nodes (like in a math formula node).
- "Pivot" nodes to present multiple dimensions of data as rows and columns (similar to an Excel pivot table, but non-static).

Salesforce has been evolving its data management and analytics offerings at a blistering pace recently, so I created a visual guide to show how their three main options differ—and how they support each other.

I just finished building a JavaScript D3 visualization of how scaling out @SnowflakeDB nodes speeds massive data ingests—and how it creates business value through making data analysts more productive.

Some big things have been brewing in the world of data recently (@SnowflakeDB@confluentinc), and as cloud developments they're exploitable by small and medium-sized businesses—not just the big.

"Ops teams are turning off their alerts; they're getting too many." I used to hear this a lot at Accenture helping network operators use AI to hone in on root causes—but this time it's app infrastructure teams coping with the storm.

The development path of #QuantumComputing is still in a non-linear phase. @jmchow of @IBM writes that scaling to millions of qubits will likely require distributed quantum intranets whose interconnects "will require fundamental advances in physics".

This post by Mehmet Suzen about AI/ML as *essentially* a research activity generates a broader question in my mind: how do we characterize the core nature of any of our technology efforts?
