@campbellclaret It shows Farage couldn’t give a toss for those in Clacton who voted him in. His moral compass is around Tate, Trump and his soulmate Mussolini.
@DavidGauke Since everyone else I know thinks Farage is infected with Putinism, why shouldn’t Zelensky think the same? Incidentally, I campaigned against the neo-fascist National Front in the 1970s. I notice that Reform is adopting the same tenor and language today.
@Peston If the Commission finds them guilty, they should have been sacked. The only other decision would be that they did not transgress gambling rules; the culprits do not deny using insider info. Whatever the outcome, Sunak got his judgment wrong and is dead in the water.
@dorotheabyrne I was about to contact you. Private Passions is one of my favourite Radio 3 programmes and you served it well: witty and serious; reflective and entertaining. Sue and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
@andy4wm This is laudable; there are too few good servants in public life. But it does not sound like an unequivocal endorsement of a Sunak Government.
@ipryce T-levels we’re always a stillborn disaster, following in the footsteps of at least four decades of incompetent Tory elitist meddling around the edges af A-levels, rather than tackling the question of post-16 assessment reforms head-on.
@dorotheabyrne Excellent stuff, Dorothy. Your grit, determination and humour were just as I remember you behaving on the Waltham Forest Guardian. If anything, you’ve sharpened with age. As ever: informative and entertaining.
@dorotheabyrne Well said Dorothy. Tell that to the appalling Teresa Villiers who insists that the killing of 32,000 mainly non-Hamas women and children is a proportionate response to October 7 by the media-gagging Israelis.
