@CarpeTeachem I was not able to find an exact amount, but considering how the Boston Red Sox were able to be paid out 31 million from winning the World Series alone, they are definitely doing well https://t.co/odNaAzeL4T
It would be pretty interesting to see how much more money that networks and MLB make during this world series compared to 2017 and 2018. This last world series brought in many viewers, which helped them with charging high prices for advertising space. #comm031@CarpeTeachem
@CarpeTeachem I think when it comes to other countries, there are disconnects which could be a reason why viruses and disease tend to hit these countries harder due to lack of knowledge from the government or news. Especially in the rural parts of these countries, this is crucial.
I think this is by far the most important role of digital media. Not only does it provide quick information to the general public about safety and procedures, but also prevents widespread panic. What would life be like without these quicktime reports. 🤔 #comm31@CarpeTeachem
Johnson & Johnson said it was already testing its vaccine against the strain, while University of Oxford scientists are expecting a delivery of the virus imminently, according to a person familiar with the matter.AstraZeneca said it was conducting research

@CarpeTeachem The bill will help low-income areas by providing infrastructure for broadband in areas where it does not exist, create a $30 a month subsidy program, and tackling "digital redlining," where internet providers tend to avoid areas of low income. https://t.co/lBhih1Jlt0
I think an important part of this bill is the expansion of broadband access to all Americans. With how low-income households were struggling during covid, it is important to allow more access to all people during the digital age. @CarpeTeachem#comm31
Every single West Virginian will benefit from the bipartisan infrastructure bill. From roads and bridges to water, sewer and broadband, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill will invest nearly $6 billion on the critical infrastructure West Virginians depend on every day.
@CarpeTeachem I'm not trying to judge this movie based of this ad, but I agree that there is no reason to stop this cycle. We have seen this many times with Finding Nemo, Cars, etc, and it seems to be successful every time by playing with the nostalgia of older fans to watch the next movie.
Why are they making another Toy Story movie, considering that they have already made 4 Toy Story movies. Seems more like a money grab to me than a "passion project," considering that they are marketing towards the generation that watched the original. #comm031@CarpeTeachem
@CarpeTeachem I believe that with including the term "Conservative" insinuates that the attack was purely motivated by the political stance of the person. The only evidence of the attacker given is there race and that the police announced was an act of terrorism and linked to Islamic Terrorism
Interesting to me that with the fatal stabbing of a man, politics are a factor when reporting this news. Seems like a way that media companies attempt to rally fear in people, which always tend to lead to extremism. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
Conservative MP Sir David Amess has died after a stabbing attack on Eastwood Road in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex

@CarpeTeachem From what I read from a New York Times article posted on September 11, 2003, the state of journalism in Afghanistan has changed completely with the takeover of the Taliban. For over two decades, Afghanistan had enjoyed free press. https://t.co/vxs8Bz9Mt1
Not exactly a journalist, but it is interesting to me that even interpreters are at risk of harm or losing their lives in war-torn countries. I can only imagine what journalists in these countries have to go through. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
The interpreter who helped rescue Joe Biden in 2008 from a snowy Afghanistan valley has escaped the country. Here's how he got out. https://t.co/1NEpD3xGMB
@CarpeTeachem I think that with society as a whole, TikTok has provided a platform for people to rise to fame and influence a younger audience. Now, Charli and other TikTok influencers can promote products, media, and thoughts that would go unnoticed compared to any other regular teenager.
Crazy to me how media at a whole as become so interactive and life-changing. The D'Amelios were definitely well off before TikTok, but Charli's rise to fame as brought her and her family huge amounts of publicity and fame. And with that, money 💰 #comm31@CarpeTeachem
Charli D’Amelio went viral on TikTok just two months after she started posting videos in 2019.
Now she’s the app’s biggest influencer with a whopping 123.5 million followers.

@CarpeTeachem I think that with how visual media has evolved to, we as humans started to become so used to seeing with our own eyes that we struggle to view things without them. This new AR system kinda shows how we have changed as people to want and prefer to use these things to fit our needs
Interesting stuff about technology as a whole and how it has shifted into becoming so interactive and intuitive. Like how we can design cars and order them from our phone, maybe we can design our own houses from our laptops in the future. 🤔 #comm31@CarpeTeachem
@CarpeTeachem I don't think that people would necessarily believe that Alex Jones is credible given his history, but I believe that people like J.D. Vance defending him with a rather large platform only gives Alex Jones more power and publicity for saying the stuff that he does.
This is why the general public struggles to find reputable sources of information on the internet. Many "extremist news sources" like InfoWars with Alex Jones, can still find an audience. The general public needs to put the time to avoid scams like this. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
