KENAS held the 5th and final Anti-Doping Working Group meeting, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring excellence in conformity assessment and accreditation standards.
This collaborative session brought together technical experts from leading organizations such as @uonbi, @ADAKKENYA, @AthleticsKENYA,@Kmlttb_official, @cuea_official, @KEMRI_Kenya, @ChemistKenya, @DKLDrKalebiLabs, and @LancetKenya_PLK. Together, we reviewed and refined the draft forensic testing criteria document, making necessary amendments to align with international best practices.
The finalized criteria, once ratified, will strengthen the anti-doping framework and support the accreditation of testing facilities, ensuring fairness and integrity in sports.

KENAS convened the final working group meeting, focusing on forensic testing, marking the conclusion of a series of virtual sessions aimed at developing robust accreditation criteria across various fields. This final session represented the culmination of collaborative efforts with stakeholders to establish internationally aligned standards.
During the meeting, members reviewed and incorporated stakeholder feedback on the draft forensic testing criteria document, making necessary amendments to enhance its quality. The document will now proceed to the ratification stage to ensure it aligns with international best practices.

@citymirrorKE They should ensure their samples are taken by an ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Laboratory. This ensures that the lab results can be trusted and the personnel doing the tests are competent.
