@woodlandbirder I feel the same way about 'improved grassland'. It's a term which means grass with little or no diversity and is often an ecological trap when used for silage. Ecologists should stop using it and use 'grass crop' or something else.
This Common Tern at Conder Pool was ringed in April 2005 in Senegal and recorded as older than 2nd year at the time, so its now over 21 years old! Remarkably we also recorded this same bird breeding at Preston Dock in 2017 & 2019, photo by @paul_ellis24@WordsFromWez
