We’re saddened to share that Donald Rose, the UK’s oldest WWII veteran, has passed away at 110.
A sniper with the Queen’s Royal Regiment, he served in North Africa, survived D-Day, and helped liberate Bergen-Belsen.
His legacy and sacrifice will not be forgotten ❤️
Depression is NOT just sadness. It’s a living nightmare, far beyond a fleeting emotion. Comparing it to sadness is like comparing a paper cut to a broken leg. Sadness is a normal part of life; depression eats away at you from the inside out. Let’s raise awareness and support those struggling. #MentalHealthMatters
On this day 40 years ago, 56 Bradford City and Lincoln City supporters went to a football match and never came home.
We will never forget those who lost their lives in the Valley Parade Fire Disaster, and we stand with everyone who continues to be affected to this day.
Forever remembered and forever in our hearts. 🎗️

Hey X do your stuff - last night after the Villa game I dropped my Villa scarf . It’s 53 years old and of great sentimental value having followed Villa everywhere. I was parked on the corner of Park road North and sycamore rd just up from the Wisdom Academy School.
This message from Tony Mowbray is as lovely as it is important.
He’s always struck me as one of the most likeable and humble people in the game; hopefully he’s back working soon. ❤️
35 years ago this month, the last ep of #Blackadder Goes Forth screened. Most of us treasure the series as 3 unmatched comedy hours. But there was a deeper message throughout encapsulated in this moving final scene.

Once again, London’s brilliant Black Cab drivers waited on Westminster Bridge to ferry our veteran heroes to and from Waterloo station and the Cenotaph. For free.
What a wonderful gesture. #RemembranceSunday
We Will Remember Them.
Last post performed at the Gurkha Memorial in Aldershot by a Gurkha from the Queen's Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment.

Today we remember the brave soldiers who gave their lives to protect our freedom.
Thank you to our donors for helping us to support the Gurkha veterans who served us with courage.
I remember where I was when I watched the final episode of Blackadder Goes Forth and how I sat stunned at the end. One of the best pieces of tragicomic writing ever, in any form; worth another look today of all days.
The funeral of Auschwitz survivor Lily Ebert, who passed away this morning at almost 101 years old at her home in NW London.
Lily z”l will fly to her beloved Israel later this evening and will be buried in Jerusalem.
May her memory be a huge blessing.
It’s world mental health day.
