@DanNeidle Did a lot of people in that group retire early during or immediately after Covid? If they had paid off mortgages and the kids had left home and they had enjoyed the experience of being furloughed? If they had been earning over 200k they could afford early retirement.

@afneil The wealth of Musk, Theil, Bezos and others is a key reason the world is suffering under a Trump presidency. Musk's actions in destroying USAID is having a major impact on millions of people. It's ridiculous to suggest his wealth is unconnected to his political power.

@DanNeidle @Skreppa Why not transfer the responsibility for paying business rate to the freeholder. They then have an additional incentive to let the property even if they have to accept a lower rental income due to competition effects.
