@nonregemesse I get the book change point you are making here but.
Was Jace suppose to let the Velaryon fleet just suffer and die? Ya know the biggest house supporter of Rhaenyra and her claim. Not to mention the family ties. He is promised to Baela. There is tons of purpose and reason
@mattxweltner@penguinenjoyeer 100%
Trying to get that payday or earn the favor of Tywin and the Lannisters.
Sick behavior from Mama westerling. Not because she betrayed Robb but more so because what she did to her own daughter.. I would expect a westerlands house to betray or trick Robb.
@quinnthegm Although I do agree that if the show did not involve her in the war and battles that she is basically pointless up until the very end of the dance.
Maybe they will still keep the detail of her being the last dragon rider. Thrusting her to the top of her family and politics
@quinnthegm She goes from 0 to competely carrying and symbolizing power of house targaryen as the only rider. And that made her role so important during the transition of power at the end of the Dance. And even considered for the throne. We wont get that shift in her arc as a charcter
@ASOIAFQuotesGOT I also thought it was good! I think the show as a whole and the epiosde would have less critcism if it had just been s2 E9 like the orginal plan.
Nonetheless it was a good episode!! Winter wolves. INSANE battle sequence.
I think it has just become a thing to be a HOD hater
Harry Collett shares a farewell to Prince Jacaerys Velaryon and #HouseOfTheDragon via Instagram:
“Well, I don’t know where to start. I hope you enjoyed the first ep! I got cast in this show when I was 17, I was waiting for a role to come along just like this. I’m so eternally grateful that it was even given to me in the first place. Little Harry would be jumping for joy if he knew this back in the day.
And YES, I knew this was happening since Season 1. And honestly, I would’ve even been happy if it happened then. That’s what kind of power this show has. Even if I played a tree, I would’ve been over the moon.
First of all I’d like to thank the whole of the HBO team, Ryan and Sarah and Kate Rhodes James Casting who had faith in me from the beginning. You have changed my life.
Secondly, I’d like to thank my second family. All of you lovely lot in the cast. It’s genuinely such a rare treasure to get a cast where everyone gets along and to most importantly feel like a second home. (As much as we are a very dysfunctional family in the show.) I will never ever take that for granted. I have made friends for life.
Finally, I’d like to thank the fans. Without ANY of you, I wouldn’t be here in the first place. To accept me as your Jace. I am honoured. That was all I ever wanted. You have been the light in my life for the past 5 years. So supportive of everything I do. Wherever you are in the world, I genuinely can’t put into words how much you all mean to me.
But listen, as much as Jace is gone. I’m not going anywhere ;)
I love you all. So much. Bring on the future. ❤️”
@westerosies All timer. Epic on every level. Very battle of blackwater coded with the shifting viewpoints and phases of tje battle.
Even the scences before t he battle were great and felt like a true GOT episode!
#HOTD
@westerosies@thedragonLML Harry you were a pleasure! Both on and off screen. You brought to life one of my favorite charcters and portrayed him wonderfully!
You will always be fondly remebered by the GOT and HOD fandom!!
Cheers
@westerosies Major GOT energy! It was epic!! Love seeing the winter wolves I fist pumped when they rolled up.
I love the shifting perpectives during the battle. Very Battle of blackwater coded
It hit on the emtional level as well with Jace and Vermax... :/ an all tiner episode. #HOTD
@westerosies Luke' death was a crazy moment in the story and iconic moment ( for the wrong reasons lol )
Jace death hit me way more emtionally. That was hard to watch he and Vermax drwin and die that way. No amount of reading Fire and blood could have prepared me for that.. :(
