Tomorrow is election day.
I have greatly enjoyed the campaign and the conversations I have had with voters across the island.
Please cast your vote at your polling station between 8am and 8pm, and please vote Ian Gorst for Senator.
A Strong Voice for Jersey.
To build a more successful future, Jersey must maintain good relationships with our neighbours & trading partners.
As Minister for External Relations, I have built strong diplomatic, economic, and cultural links that benefit Jersey.
If elected, I hope to continue this work.
Pre-poll voting is now open at St Paul’s Centre. You can vote between 8:45am-5pm every day this week, and next Monday from 08:45 until noon.
Please remember to bring some ID with you.

A Strong Voice For Jersey
- Defending our interests
- Promoting our economy
- Building a sustainable future for our community.
I wish everyone a Happy Liberation Day.
Our national day is a time for commemoration and celebration.
We remember those islanders who endured five long years of occupation, islanders who were evacuated, deported and interned, and those who fought for our liberty and freedom.
@ANDYDB7 I wish to continue as Minister for External Relations with responsibility for financial services. I think it’s important that the person doing that job has an Islandwide mandate. I also believe that this is a time for calm & serious leadership, which I hope to offer as a Senator.
Today, I submitted my nomination for Senator. It’s great to have the islandwide mandate back! I’m grateful to my supporters and I look forward to the election campaign. I want to continue to be a strong voice for Jersey, locally and internationally, as we tackle our challenges.
I am deeply disturbed by the appearance of hateful graffiti in and around St Helier. These acts do not reflect who we are as a community, and I condemn them in the strongest possible terms.
Jersey is an inclusive, tolerant, and respectful society. There is no place here for messages of hate or division. Such behaviour not only damages property, but it attempts to undermine the very values that bind us together: mutual respect, dignity, and compassion.
This kind of cowardly and destructive act will not be tolerated. I am confident that the States of Jersey Police will investigate these incidents thoroughly, and I urge anyone with information to come forward.
Now more than ever, we must stand together as a community, united in our diversity and proud of the strength it brings. Let us respond with resolve: to protect and uphold the inclusive spirit that defines our Island.
Constituency surgery taking place tomorrow - all from the 3 parishes are welcome and as always if tomorrow doesn’t suit but you want to discuss an issue or share your views with us please get in touch

We are using the forecast Pillar 2 revenue to invest in our economic competitiveness & productivity to support local jobs, to help pay for the new hospital, & to boost our reserves. Any further revenue should be prioritised for competitiveness & reserves as the regime settles in.
The Budget sets out the base case forecast for receipts from the 15% global corporate tax rate, which we will implement in 2025. This revenue must be used prudently, & especially for investing in our competitiveness. It again highlights the value of financial services to Jersey.
Very pleased that the draft Budget again increases tax thresholds and freezes alcohol and fuel duty. Vital support for islanders and economic growth. It focuses on frontline services & sets out plans to pay for the hospital, put more into reserves and increase our competitiveness
Great to meet new UK Minister for Trade @D_G_Alexander today. We agreed international trade is vital for growth in Jersey & UK. We will work together to open access for services & ease trade frictions with EU market & beyond. Looking forward to working together @biztradegovuk

Jersey’s Moneyval Review puts us in the top 10% globally for technical compliance and effectiveness, and the report confirms we are the highest rated international finance centre. It is an excellent outcome for the island.
