In case it wasn't already obvious: I deleted this app from my phone and have mostly stopped using it on desktop. I check notifications periodically, but that's about it. I feel pretty great about that decision.

Cafe Deux was many things to many people. I rarely went to events there, but I used to get brunch regularly. I'll miss the mismatched plates and coffee mugs and the understated vegetarian menu.
I know ArriveCan has been the bane of some people's existence, and I empathize. But I'll also say: I've left the country twice since May and neither time has anyone asked to see my ArriveCan declaration upon my return. So it seems like it's already optional.
