Sad day today. After all the procedures and operations on my eyes over the last 4-5yrs Ive just been notified by DVLA that they're taking my car & bike licenses of my immediately.
Still, could be worse.
Acting together, workers have the power 💪

👉🏼 Scotland can do better than being ignored at Westminster.
👉🏼 Scotland can do better than a hard Brexit we never voted for.
👉🏼 Scotland can do better than having to put up with more austerity.
🏴 It's time for independence. https://t.co/bkLETLohJ9
Solidarity with all nurses and healthcare workers taking industrial action.
Remember folks, they are striking for better pay and conditions. They are also taking this action to save OUR NHS. Don't allow the government and the right wing press to divide and conquer on this fight
I ASK EVERYONE WHO SEES THIS TWEET TO PLEASE RT IT.
Tomorrow nurses strike. They will be put through hell by the media, politicians and the establishment.
Ahead of the action please share this tweet if you back the nurses and find it sickening that they are being vilified.
Nurses are under attack. The government have decided they will take them on and break them if needed
They are the same people who kept this nation going through the pandemic
They are the backbone of society
RT if you stand right behind them and will back them whatever it takes
Why is it that those who "earn" such exorbitant salaries criticise those who are at best just keeping their heads above water?
Speaking metaphorically of course.
#UCUstrike#CostOfLivingCrisis
RT if you think it’s taking the piss for a university boss who earns almost half a million pounds a year whilst employing almost 5,000 academic staff on insecure contracts to be saying she would “really love people to stop talking about” her pay.
#ucuRISING
We hoped that the trucking community would support @CWUnews Scotland 🏴 Regional drivers when on strike this week.
Unfortunately Sneddons of Airdrie continue to drive through our picket lines at @RoyalMail sites.
Yuill & Dodds drivers crossing picket lines.
For those of us old enough to remember the great strike of 1984/85 some things never change.
#nevercrossapicketline
Scotland remembers Yuill & Dodds lorry’s from the miners strikes!
38 years later Yuill & Dodds lorry’s are driving through @CWUnews picket lines in Scotland as they did in the 1980’s
This is the level @RoyalMail are going to to attack our members
Since 2010:
📉Nurses’ real pay is down by £4,300
📉Paramedics’ real pay is down by £5,600
📉Teachers' real pay is down by 20%
📈 MPs' pay up by 28%
It's not a question of affordability, it's a question of priorities.
One year at college and 4yrs at University and latest in a line of disappointments following job interviews makes me think - do I keep going or do I just drift into retirement and enjoy that?
RT this if you stand shoulder to shoulder with every nurse, postie, university worker, rail worker and every union member striking and saying Enough is Enough.
History will not look kindly on those who sit on the fence.
It’s us and them now.
Join a picket line.

Aneurin Bevan was born #OnThisDay 125 years ago 🌹
A trade unionist and democratic socialist, he became a Cabinet Minister in the 1945 Attlee Government - and founded the National Health Service.
“A free health service is pure socialism”
#Bevan125 🧵
Average London rent £21,984
Average food bill £4,500
Average utility bill £1,500
Total 27,948
Average nurses pay £27,055
A nurse can’t even afford to live a decent life in the UK
I will support their strike action
RT if you will too
#EnoughIsEnough
Have the To##es wheeled out @GavinWilliamson to highlight the fact that there really are MPs who are more unsuited to govern than @SuellaBraverman ? https://t.co/P0MGvr0vCH
A sad day in the UK when our wonderful, undervalued nurses have to take strike action for the first time in the RCNs history.
✊️solidarity with all those taking industrial action.
Nurses across the UK have voted to take strike action.
If you will support every nurse going out on strike because they've been left with no other choice please reply with a 💙
Let's show nurses that they have the public's support #OurNHS
