@besslilburne We had this issue with content on TV channels before, ultimately it comes down to teaching kids responsibility rather than obstruction that everyone ends up paying for. Even Tik Tok can be extremely educational if the algorithm is personalized properly or the STEM feed is used.

@Pirat_Nation Whatever it takes to end the tyranny of Windows longstanding monopoly on the PC gaming market. Being able to play AAA titles on Linux that have anti cheat will force Microsoft to make more user aligned changes. Currently Win11 is a utility hog filled with spyware.

@Pirat_Nation That’s an interesting choice, we aren’t too far away from AI being able to use prompts to generate not only animated clips but even live action ones that’ll be indistinguishable from real life. Eventually anyone will be able to be a director and producer. Voice acting may be key.

6G is a double edged sword while 1TB speeds will be amazing we should all be deeply concerned about ISAC, Integrated Sensing and Communication. ISAC turns the network itself into a high-resolution radar/sensor using terahertz (THz) and other bands for precise positioning, environmental mapping, gesture/posture detection, and even vital-sign monitoring—enabling applications from autonomous systems to immersive XR and smart infrastructure. The security and privacy concerns are astronomical compared to anything before it. Combined with AI this technology is like opening Pandora’s Box.

@Sankew06 Depending on the content Premium is almost indistinguishable from regular 1080p. The only time it can come close to 4k is when the comparison 4k video is poorly upscaled. The difference isn’t even close to native 4k content.

@AllyTaft This has become unprecedented. The volume of unsolicited calls that Americans are receiving seems to be at an all time high. It’s likely individuals or small groups using AI agents to implement these calls. Would love to see phone carriers do something about this.

It’s always bothered me that the speed limit of the Universe is so slow in proportion to the size of it. Not only is the nearest galaxy 2M lightyears away, galaxies in general are getting farther due to the Great Expansion. How is the Universe supposed to explore itself through humans or other intelligent life with that kind of limit. Here’s hoping we figure out negative mass for worm holes.

@MMatt14 Arch Linux is a heck of a learning curve compared to Windows but absolutely worth it. Plus it’s never been easier now, previously you would have to look up different package commands through sudo for Konsole but now with AI you don’t have to look it up or even type the commands.

@Kekius_Sage I don’t see why we shouldn’t try. Only issue is the outside of this simulation is most likely another simulation. The question then becomes what’s on the outside of the origin simulation.

I understand this is meant to snub the U.S. in a way but it does present some indirect benefits. Due to politics and Windows having poor updates/ overreach Linux is being more widely adopted. This will entice companies to make Linux versions for apps and software which is needed! On top of that Windows will be forced to be more compliant with consumer wants and needs. Currently Win11 has been terrible for system utility and privacy. For governments and companies I would only run secured systems on Linux OS versions.

@unusual_whales It would make a lot of sense economically to institute programs and tax breaks that enable and encourage young adults to become married. This is a problem Japan has been trying to solve though root causes slightly differ. Housing and disposable income would be great targets.

@DiscussingFilm I’m thankful Amazon is picking this up rather than Netflix. Granted Rings of Power was a miss but Fallout and Warhammer Secret Level were great adaptations. There is huge potential with a Mass Effect series. We wait with great anticipation!
