@tito @uncledoomer im not saying pensions aren't high, im saying that young people who don't have to work 40-50hrs a week while being a full time student just to stay alive aren't that angry that the elderly lives comfortably.. cause the government cares about them too
@tito @uncledoomer and yet, the french gov also subsidizes universities (you can get a degree for 200/year), has various programs to help with housing (my friend who studies there gets €500/month from the gov and has to pay like €300 in rent) and a doctor's visit is like €2

@tito @uncledoomer europe takes care of the young as well.. most countries have universal healthcare and affordable higher education, good public transport. it's easier to stand up for others when you don't feel like they're stealing your future just so grandma can have another vacation

@fredgiblet @conorjrogers are you sure they're your friends? i talk enough with the people i consider "friends" to know how they see the world, but i couldn't say the same about acquaintances from work or friends of friends.. you either don't have meaningful conversations or they aren't your friends
