¡Enhorabuena!
Federal immigration actions prioritize fear and enforcement over compassion and justice. These policies are not only ineffective in managing our immigration challenges but also inhumane, undermining the values that define our nation.
Happy #CubanIndependenceDay! 🇨🇺
Today, we honor the enduring spirit of the Cuban people & the generations who have fought for freedom and justice. Here in Miami-Dade, our vibrant Cuban community continues to shape our culture, economy, and history with pride and resilience.💙❤️🤍
Miami-Dade is proud to be home to the largest Venezuelan community in the U.S. I’m heartbroken for these families who followed the legal process and now face deportation to a brutal dictatorship. We continue to stand with those seeking protection from oppression and persecution.
Join me for our next edition of Conversations with Cava, starting this Friday, May 16. Across north, south, and central Dade, we are hosting conversations about this year’s county budget. Make your voice heard and come learn more about our budget process! https://t.co/fgTIYwxfn7
I am deeply disappointed by the Florida Legislature’s vote to ban fluoride from tap water, a decision that disregards the guidance of dentists, doctors, and medical experts. Ending fluoridation will have long-lasting impact on health—especially for our most vulnerable families.
Proud of @MayorDaniella for vetoing the rushed vote to end water fluoridation in Miami-Dade. She listened to doctors, dentists & parents—and stood with science. Fluoride is safe, effective & essential, especially for kids. Facts > fear. #PublicHealth#MiamiDade
As not just mayor, but a mother and grandmother, the health and safety of our residents is my top priority. I listened to dentists and medical experts: fluoride is essential to keeping Miami-Dade healthy
