Shaykh Ubayd is from the Salafi scholars who speaks slow and clear. I encourage Arabic students to regularly listen to all Arabic lectures. Don’t focus on understanding every word initially, rather try to understand the general context. Training the ear is very important.
Shaykh @Arafatbinhassan al-Muḥammadī’s Clarification on The Double Standards of Those Warning from @AbuMuadhTaqweem
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I have not received any evidence regarding brother Taqwīm Aslam, and I had advised some of the brothers who were speaking against him to provide us with evidence so that we could present it to our scholars, who would then advise him. I also requested these individuals to provide the evidence promptly so that we do not involve our youth in mere gossip and disputes.
Undoubtedly, engaging the Salafī youth in haphazard warnings while cautioning them against attending knowledge-based conferences has got nothing to do with wisdom. If only we were more eager to unite the word of Ahlus-Sunnah and refrain from sowing the seeds of discord and division.
And whoever lives among the polytheists must adopt even more wisdom, patience, and gentleness—especially when we are in a blessed month; the month of worship, night prayers, and fasting.
By Allāh! I am astonished at those who hear the audio recordings containing attacks against our senior scholars, accusing them of:
-being ignorant of evidences,
-lacking knowledge of the fundamental principles of virology,
-never stepping beyond their rulers’ directives,
-being incapable of making any decisions in this (medical) field,
-and never saying anything that contradicts the policies of the rulers!
Yet despite all this, they do not even twitch!
Then they listen to a disgraceful audio recording mocking Shaykh Sālim Bāmaḥraz—may Allāh preserve him—, with its speaker laughing shamelessly and disrespectfully!! But we see no one even twitch or express anger for the sake of our senior scholars!
There is no power nor might except with Allāh.

Familiarise yourself with the Salafi scholars of the last century. Learn about those who came before you, how they confronted the challenges of their time, and how they responded to European attempts to import foreign ideas, values and ways of life into Muslim lands.
Their writings offer valuable lessons for understanding and confronting the challenges Muslims face today.
Shaykh Mubārak al-Mīlī (d. 1945) was one of Algeria’s leading Salafi reform scholars, alongside Ibn Bādīs and al-Bashīr al-Ibrāhīmī.
His famous Risālat al-Shirk wa-Maẓāhiruhu confronted shirk, superstition, grave-veneration and other corrupt practices, calling Muslims back to pure Tawḥīd and the Sunnah.
How many waves of deviation have come & gone over the years, sadly sweeping away the unstable & disingenuous? May Allah make us firm & brave
When tribulations intensify and matters become confusing, it becomes necessary upon the Muslim to stick to what the Shari'ah has guided him to, and among the most important of these affairs are:
Firstly: Clinging to the Qura'an and Sunnah.
The Prophet -sallaAllahu alaihi wassalam- said:
“I have left among you that which if you cling to it, you will never go astray after me: The Book of Allah and my Sunnah.”
Secondly: Sticking to the Jama'ah, listening to and obeying the ruler, and refraining from rebelling and going against them.
He -sallaAllahu alaihi wassalam- said:
“Upon you is the Jama'ah, for the wolf devours the lone sheep.”
Thirdly: Abundantly supplicating and seeking aid from Allah.
He -sallaAllahu alaihi wassalam- said:
“Seek refuge in Allah from the trials –what is apparent of them and what is concealed.”
Fourthly: Remaining silent and avoiding involvement in trials, especially in public political matters.
He -sallaAllahu alaihi wassalam- said:
“Indeed, the truly happy one is the one who is kept away from tribulations.”
Fifthly: Increasing acts of worship and abandoning excessive speech.
He -sallaAllahu alaihi wassalam- said:
“Hasten to perform [good] deeds before trials and tribulations like the pitch-black darkness [appear].”
You cannot demand righteousness, modesty and restraint from her while you are freely in DMs, wandering around social media and engaging in things you would never accept from her.
May Allah reward Shaykh @anwarphilly with good.
Our zeal in defending the honor of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is greater than our zeal in defending the honor of any other person.
As Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله said: “The most beloved to the people of Sunnah is Allah alone, Glorious and Exalted. Then the Prophet ﷺ is the most beloved of all people to them—more beloved than themselves, their wealth, and their children. Then, after him, are the other Prophets, peace and blessings be upon them. And this is what we adhere to.”
