When Yunus عليه السّلام was in the the belly of the whale, he continuously recited:
لا إله إلا أنت سبحنك إنّي كنت من الظلمين
La ilaha ila anta subhanaka inni kuntu minal-dhalameen
“There is no deity but You, exalted You are. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.”
@phIeetwoodmac@CalebFulston@Rob6timesLFC@andrewc44104127 London is one of the most heavily surveilled cities in the world today and still would have been back in 2007. It’s hard to think that there was no foul play involved in this case
@dmontetheno1 One of the most problematic issues that Islam faces today is the mass distribution of the books of ahadith. Should 100% have been gatekept by the scholars and passed through their hands to the mujazun
@Settch3n There is literally no chance Hejaz defends themselves against the Saud in Najd who would 10000% have invaded the second these lines were drawn
@ToprovskyF@Clem_Fandingo@plinketyplink2 It used to be quite common up north in the UK. Still is in some parts. I stayed with my sister up north for a few months and everyone’s front door on the street was usually left open during the day and locked at night. It wasn’t a particularly nice area either. Never had an issue
The college mosque I pray in has students from all backgrounds, Salafis, Deobandis, Tablighis, and others. all praying behind the same imam.
But guess which is the only group that prays in a separate congregation? Yeah, the Barelvis.
Reason? Because apparently they takfir all the other groups. And this is a common pattern across much of the Indian subcontinent.
Then on what basis do they accuse others of mass takfir and dividing the Ummah?
Historically, their scholars have made some of the broadest takfir pronouncements, and many of their followers won't even pray behind Muslims from other groups.
@Sambachaluka@AbuTankeel@Vero_Dei Further proof of the diaspora Muslim unable to do anything productive. While I admit this is a minuscule example of influence, Muslims are the first to complain about Zionist influence, but unwilling to support the Muslims we have in power to help them build our influence.
People always mention grave worshipping whenever Sufis are mentioned but the comparison is like saying all Salafis believe the blood of a non-salafi is halal.
Admittedly the real issue with modern day Sufism is that many liberal/feminist/reformist “Muslims” have adopted it.
@ZeonApologist @fanofghazali @arnesa_kustura@akd786 I have come across her account in the past. She has unfortunately fallen victim to the liberal Christian theology of “just be a generally good person, religion is outdated”
May Allah guide her
@fanofghazali @ZeonApologist@arnesa_kustura@akd786 If there is a valid difference of opinion on a matter, then it will not take you out of the fold of Islam to hold a specific opinion. However you should still exercise caution and not categorically say this thing is 100% allowed or forbidden if there is a difference of opinion
@fanofghazali @ZeonApologist@arnesa_kustura@akd786 Sins are categorised into major and minor.
Major sins are all on the same level (although some can have more severe punishments as they can have other effects and repercussions). Eating pork is a major sin, so it is categorised the same as murder.
