Somalia is nearly 3 times larger than Ghana yet Ghana has more states. Ghana has 17 states while Somalia has only 8 states.

My ideal Somalia🇸🇴:

-Eliminate Federalism

-Create 20-30 new states

-Governors appointed directly by president and could be dismissed

-Borders and ports of entries (airports) controlled by central government

-Governors cannot form, fund, or command any armed groups, police, militias, or regional/state armies

-Military and intelligence operations are solely the jurisdiction of the central Government.

- All state police chiefs are appointed and dismissed by the President not Governor

-Security Agencies/groups such as NISA, Danab, Haramcad and Gorgor have full operational access in every state, without the need of local approval from governors

- States cannot host foreign diplomats, open foreign offices, or engage in external agreements

- One unified court system and Supreme Court. All judges and prosecutors are state appointed and rotated across states
