This Syrian old man hid his private library in his home in the city of Damascus since the end of 2011 before escaping to Kuwait out of fear of the Assad regime, where the mere presence of a banned book could lead you to Assad's gulag and death under torture.
Today, the uncle returned to his library and completely removed the wall behind which he had hidden it, revealing valuable books that the Assad regime prohibited possessing and circulating.
.@POTUS announces the TRUMP DIVIDEND: If Republicans win both the House and the Senate, because of our tremendous economic success, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States for $5,000
Jim Harbaugh: "It's September. It's time to play our first game. And I support no cause, foreign or domestic, other than the greatness of the Los Angeles Chargers."
NEW: Justin Szlasa exposed a double-billing scandal with LA homeless services and pressed for stronger audits. He was just demoted by an appointee of Mayor Bass, without explanation.
One official says it's part of a “cover-up” of dysfunction at LAHSA.

@keith_johnson We would love to invite you to our upcoming Silver Lake Neighborhood Council meeting next Wed, Sep 5th. Hugo our council member has been invited as well.
Welcome to @CD13LosAngeles where the homeless are running our city. LA residents frustrated by local homeless encampment @MattSeedorff https://t.co/oCBaVfEfY3
@moseskagan@keith_johnson@CD13LosAngeles Eastsider called me saying CD13 told them they had full support of the SLNC. Which couldn’t be further from the truth.I know some individuals may support this however we have only had an increase in complaints regarding homelessness,& the fires at encampments since the spring.
@dylankendall This would be very helpful if you could share once you get it. We will be putting 41.18 on our GB agenda for discussion next Wednesday. I was surprised to see their office claim they had our neighborhoods support, as I don’t recall any explicit communication regarding the removal
Today, I formally rescinded Syria’s designation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism. This action unlocks new potential for Syria’s economic revitalization and progress. The Trump Administration continues to advance U.S. national security to achieve peace, prosperity, and security in the Middle East.
The underpass near the Silverlake 101 freeway exit on a sliver of concrete is included on the list here revoking the anti camping zones.
There have been multiple incidents of unhoused deaths here, it is not a safe area for encampments. Multiple unhoused individuals have been hit by cars. Two years ago, one was shooting bb guns at cars driving by, police mistook it for a real gun and shot and killed her.
I understand the compassion, but we have to also use some common sense.
I agree with @USAMBTurkiye. Continued one-sided aggression is detrimental to peace and stability. Syria has demonstrated a genuine desire for dialogue with Israel and continues to intercept weapons smuggled from Iraq, intended for Hezbollah in Lebanon to threaten Israel.
