Blame Electricity Issues on Leaders Who Gave Us Terrible Privatization of the Sector— President Tinubu tells Nigerians
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has blamed Nigeria’s ongoing electricity challenges on what he described as the poor handling of the privatization of the power sector by past leaders.
Speaking on the issue, Tinubu said, “Blame the electricity issue on leaders who gave us terrible privatization of the sector,” stressing that the decisions made in the past have contributed significantly to the country’s current power situation.
He lamented the state of electricity supply in the country, noting that instead of reliable power, Nigerians have been left with persistent darkness as a result of structural failures in the sector.
Despite the challenges, the President maintained that his administration remains committed to reforming the economy and rebuilding the nation. He emphasized the need for unity and focus, adding that efforts are ongoing to ensure long-term stability and development.
Tinubu expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, insisting that with sustained reforms and collective effort, the country’s vision of prosperity and progress remains achievable.
