Everyone I’ve spoken with who is currently serving in government has told me that this Prince Adeniyi case is simply a scam, but when I start asking questions, none of them has been able to answer.
Yes, you can forge an appointment letter and claim that you are a DG but appointment letters are signed by the SGF not the COS. Who allegedly issued his appointment letter or what signature is his allegedly forged appointment letter showing?
Someone higher than a DG must ask that you be allocated office space in the Federal Secretariat. Who made that request?
Someone higher than a DG must write asking that you be given an alleged take-off grant. You cannot yourself write to the Budget Office and the Office of the Accountant General that you should be given a take-off grant. Who allegedly wrote?
How did the agency get into the budget?
Usually, you will go for budget defence as part of a cohort. In this case, it will probably be as part of the State House cohort. Who defended or coordinated the defence of the budget estimates before the National Assembly before they were appropriated?
Did the guy earn a salary in the more than one year he was there? If so, who documented him and asked that he be paid?
With which money was the guy running the office for more than one year if nothing was allegedly released?
Who allegedly wrote to the CBN asking them to open an account for the ‘Council’? The ‘Council’ cannot just walk into CBN and ask to open an account, as if it’s a commercial bank looking for customers.
Who allegedly approved the ‘Council’s’ manning levels and who allegedly approved the waiver to recruit 300 staff?
Was the guy allegedly really that good? Or were there egregious failings at multiple points in the system?
These questions and more are often met with deafening silence. Everyone sighs heavily and uses the ubiquitous expression “Na waa.” Me sef, I sigh heavily and answer “Na real waa!”
This is a case of the proverbial tse tse that has landed on the scrotum. Leave it and it will cause sickness and pain. Swat it and it will cause pain because of its location.
Anyhow you look at it, there are questions begging for answers. And whatever the answers will be, they will not be good.
Still, I hope that there’ll be some answers soon…for the sake of our public administration system.
I am Ezemmuo. I know things.
It always beats my brain that Nigeria has a dedicated national programme & budget to fund the rehabilitation of terrorists but has nothing dedicated for the victims of the terrorists who are traumatized for life.
ALERT: Bandits are currently in Hayin Kwanta village in Sukuntuni ward, Kankia LGA of Katsina State. Security assistance is needed in the village and surrounding communities.
Retweet massively to pass the message to the authorities to do the needful.
We are seeing the victims as numbers now, like in a scientific study, it’s just data.
Forgetting that it could be you or the person next to you in the car on your way to “anywhere” in Nigeria right now.
Our leaders? Unbothered, not even a statement yet Qatari gov’t made one.🥲
When Custom Officer seize anything from you or your loved ones.
The officers are mandated to provide Notice of Seizure, we call it Seizure Receipt
If you don't collect your Seizure Receipt, what it means is this
The custom officer did not document it and may fail to report it in their office, which will give them the grace to sell it or enrich themselves with what they seize from you
The officer must provide a written document stating what was seized and why (the specific legal grounds or offense).
You have 30 days from the date on the Notice of Seizure to file a formal "Notice of Claim" to contest the seizure.
If you contest the seizure, Customs generally cannot dispose of the goods without a court order of condemnation.
Know your right
Instead of begging those Customs officers, collect your Seizure receipt and contest it within 30 days
You may want ask, Atanda how do i contest it within the 30 days
Submit a formal Notice of Claim to the Customs Area Controller (CAC) at the Area Command where the goods were seized. This letter should detail why the seizure was unlawful
Or
If the administrative claim is rejected in step one, you can file a lawsuit in the Federal High Court.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse

@nimc_ng It's like Nigeria is not ripe for anything that has to do with digital development. Too many quacks managing government portals. Imagine 3 months my wife cant be verified on nin portal. It's shameful and sad. Server always down. Employ good hands @nimc_ng
Oga Oyedele, make we talk straight.
Dem fit call you tax guru. E fit be true. E fit no be true. I no send. But politics and legislative process, you no sabi am.
This one no be “committee never meet” matter. This na basic reading comprehension.
We get two public documents.
One, the harmonized bill wey National Assembly pass.
Two, the gazetted copy wey government publish.
Both na public record. Anybody wey pass WAEC English fit put dem side by side and see say dem no be the same thing. You no need committee. You no need investigation. You just need eyes and sense.
So when you dey say one “viral document surface before committee meet,” na distraction. The real question be say, why the gazetted law no match the harmonized bill wey legislators vote for.
House of Reps know wetin dem pass. Nigerians fit see wetin una gazette. In fact, the gazetted copy dey your own official website. Plenty people don download am. Some of us get am for hand.
So who change wetin.
When dem change am.
And under which authority.
That na governance question. No be misinformation. No be fear. No be vibes.
Stop insulting people intelligence with process gymnastics. If document A no equal document B, something happen in between. Simple.
No amount of TV interview go wish that fact away.
Many Nigerians are rightly calling for a pause in the implementation of the allegedly altered tax laws and I support them. Yet these calls do not address the deeper and far more troubling issue: this matter goes well beyond tax policy or timing and strikes at the very heart of the Constitution and raises the prospect of serious criminality by the involved.
If a law duly passed by the National Assembly was surreptitiously altered before gazetting, that is an assault on the very foundations of our constitutional democracy. No republic can endure where a handful of unelected individuals presume the authority to quietly rewrite the people’s laws.
Under our Constitution and democratic system, only laws duly enacted by the Parliament elected by the people are valid and enforceable. Any “law” not fully made by Parliament is invalid and any law whose authenticity is credibly in doubt cannot, and must not, be enforced.
More importantly, if these allegations are proven, the individuals involved would have potentially committed several serious offences under Nigerian law. These include forgery of a public or statutory document, uttering a false document, abuse of office and conspiracy.
The culprits must be suspended by the President immediately. They must be swiftly and transparently investigated and justice must be done. They cannot be allowed to remain in their offices or positions while such serious allegations hang over them.
Democracy is not self-executing. It survives only when constitutional boundaries are respected and enforced. If we normalise the post-passage alteration of laws, no parliamentary vote is safe and no citizen is secure.
Therefore:
1.Pause the implementation.
2.Investigate those involved.
3.Remove from office or position anyone found wanting.
4.Prosecute and punish the guilty.
5.Uphold the Constitution.

Bola @officialABAT’s aides are the most uncoordinated, unintelligent, inept, yet dubious set in Nigeria’s history.
Just yesterday, @SundayDareSD justified the “Extra Care” Bola is giving Lagos (& Abuja) in project awards.
Today, he’s claiming “balanced” projects distribution.
@nigimmigration Effective 1st of September. Have you all ever done anything that will benefit the masses and tagged it "Effective 1st of September "? No! It's always squeezing the already squeezed and surviving Nigerians. Renewed hopelessness!
We can’t be mimicking global best practice but acting third world standards.
It has become a pattern for the govt to always want to achieve result instantaneously.
In an ideal world, giving a 3-6 month notice for any significant change like this should be a common practice for all government agencies/parastatals. In fact, it should be part of the annual government policy review.
I’ve noticed this pattern of immediate urge to achieve results without making room for adequate time to adjust on the part of the customers.
While an increase in pay may be justified, attempting to enforce it immediately suggests a lack of effective leadership communication.
The government must shift its focus beyond its own interests and develop comprehensive plans to address these challenges.
On another note….
While the passport process has significantly improved, particularly eliminating bribery, applications still take forever to be processed locally, despite paying more. The responsible government should not only chase money but also deliver on promises. A passport should be ready in 30 days if there are no issues with the application.
Nigeria shall be great.
