Kew Gardens has launched an event celebrating “queer nature”, and Piers Morgan is – predictably – less than pleased about it. “Why can’t we just have straight plants?” 🧵(1/6)

Life will be so different, but you will laugh, find joy, and you will find the person you thought was lost.
It won’t be the same person, but it is someone you’ll feel so proud to be.

3 yrs ago I was facing one of the biggest ops it’s possible to have & I worried what life would be life afterwards.
I looked to others ahead of me to get me through.
So this is for anyone walking a similar path to me. It feels like the suffering will never end, but it will.
Gaslighting is an overused word. But in this case it’s entirely appropriate. It’s hard to convey how snide, insidious and downright nasty this article by @AllysiaFinley is.
A short thread, with quotes from behind the paywall.🧵

In a training session, a doctor said “just because your patients are resilient doesn’t mean they aren’t suffering.” This concept of coexistence struck me. Resilience is often out of necessity, and doesn’t mean someone is “okay.” #MedTwitter
