@fergemanden In the avatar the last airvender aninated series, there's a creature which has a tongue that paralyses people. Maybe it could have something similar to catch its prey.
@fergemanden@br3nd4z I like the detail around the neck. How much of him are things like bump maps and displacement, and how much is sculpting/modelling?
@fergemanden Thanks, I googled what a slug is classified as and following it with molusk just felt like it fit. Can't wait to see the environment and other pieces.
Now that I'm nearing animating my short film, I thought I'd share some of the work I've been doing. 1) Rigged Cat Beatle. 2) 1 of the Astronauts. 3) The scene I refer to as "Cave". 4) The scene I refer to as "Salvation". They're screenshots so the final renders are low quality.
Think I'm closing in on what I want the environment to look like for my short film. These renders all look the same but I'm very picky and I wanted to show what I'm considering. #b3d
Need help deciding which is a better look for my VFX model. I think the right one looks better as it is brighter, but the left one shows the light is contained within the glass tube and not just one big tube emitting light. Any critique at this stage would also be helpful.
@MatthewLuhn In my first year of university, my tutor for storyboarding lessons had us draw maps of the location, we then had to draw where the cameras would be, it's definitely a helpful thing to get into doing.
When stuck on a #story or set of #storyboards it’s always helpful to draw up a map. “I wisely started with a map and made the story fit.” -JRR Tolkien. Hand-drawn ‘Annotated map of Middle-earth’ by British author J. R. R. Tolkien.
