Trade barriers are evolving.
So are the tools helping small businesses overcome them.
Together with the @ITCnews, the @wto MSME Group and the @ITU, we recognised innovative solutions that are using AI to expand opportunities for #MSMEs in international trade.
Congratulations to Rinato Space and https://t.co/rNcnWjfofh, the winners of the 2026 Small Business Champions initiative.
Their solutions show how AI can help small businesses simplify #trade processes, strengthen competitiveness and access international markets.
At ICC, we are committed to making business work for everyone. Through initiatives like #ICCOneClick, #ICCCoE and ICC Digital Commerce Labs, we are helping small businesses access the tools, knowledge and support they need to participate and succeed in #globaltrade: https://t.co/JACKIStiHu
๐ค Making AI work for everyone starts with partnerships.
At the inaugural UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance, we coordinated business participation and contributed business perspectives to discussions on inclusive AI adoption.
At the Dialogue, we launched a new Joint Business Statement coordinated by ICC, which calls for the enabling policy frameworks needed to help people, businesses and communities everywhere access, adopt and benefit from AI.
The statement calls for investment in digital infrastructure and AI skills, stronger support for SMEs and local innovators, interoperable and innovation-friendly governance, greater trust in AI, and deeper collaboration between governments, business and international organisations.

Every small business deserves the opportunity to grow in the digital economy.
Ahead of #MSMEDay, we are celebrating the momentum behind Digital Commerce Labs, our global initiative in partnership with TikTok to help entrepreneurs build the digital skills needed to grow, compete and reach new markets.
Building on the first community events in Lima and Lagos, more than 2000 small business leaders have already registered to the programme.
Beginning in July, participants will gain access to practical learning on digital commerce, content creation, AI-powered tools and business growth. Live virtual classrooms with industry experts will launch later in the year.
If you are a small business leader or entrepreneur in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa or Thailand, you can now pre-register to join the programme.

What will it take to accelerate climate action?
Throughout London Climate Action Week, we brought together business leaders, policymakers and international partners to advance discussions on the energy transition, climate finance, carbon accounting and the role of the private sector in delivering climate action.
Across these conversations, a clear message emerged: achieving climate goals will depend on stronger public-private cooperation, greater mobilisation of private capital and clear and sustained policy signals to support the transition.
The week also highlighted the importance of equipping businesses with robust tools and standards, including ongoing efforts to develop more consistent approaches to carbon accounting and transparency.
As preparations continue towards #COP31, we remain committed to ensuring business expertise helps shape effective and actionable climate solutions.
Not your average internship.
For many of our interns, a day at ICC means taking on meaningful responsibilities, developing practical skills and contributing to projects that enable global trade, #disputeresolution, climate action and more.
We asked five ICC interns to reflect on what surprised them most, the experiences that shaped them and the advice they would give to future interns.

Business perspectives matter at the WTO.
Over two days at the World Trade Organization - WTO in Geneva, ICC Global Trade & Investment Policy Commission convened global business leaders to hold discussions with Ambassadors, senior WTO officials and leading #trade experts on the future of the multilateral trading system and the urgent need for greater predictability, stability, and transparency.
Discussions covered WTO reform, services and digital trade, investment, industrial policy and ways to strengthen business engagement across WTO's ongoing work, reinforcing the importance of structured dialogue in supporting a more effective, responsive and commercially meaningful global trading system.
As WTO Members continue discussions following #MC14, we remain committed to ensure that the voice of business helps inform practical solutions and supports a stronger multilateral trading system.
How open are G7 economies in practice? ๐ค
The ICC Open Market Index 2026 assesses openness across goods, services, investment, digital trade and policy stability.
The findings suggest that while the G7 remains broadly open on paper, the experience for businesses is becoming increasingly uneven.
Digital services remain a clear strength and FDI frameworks are largely aligned. At the same time, rising #trade policy volatility is weighing on overall performance.
The Index also reveals notable differences across the G7. Canada shows the most balanced profile, while the United States exhibits the widest divergence across components.
If governments want to strengthen economic openness, improving policy predictability is one of the most immediate actions they can take.

In just two weeks, 7311 digital border transactions were completed in the European Union, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
The rollout of #eATA is already demonstrating how digital procedures can support more efficient, secure and transparent cross-border movements of goods.
The top 5 highest volumes of digital border transactions (Customs indicator) were recorded in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, Germany, and Spain.
Alongside implementation, chambers and Customs authorities are continuing to prepare for the next phases of the global transition.
A recent eATA workshop hosted by the Moroccan Guaranteeing Association brought together representatives from Moroccan, Tunisian and Senegalese National Guaranteeing Associations and Customs administrations to support eATA adoption across French-speaking Africa.

This is only the beginning.
Just one month after the launch of the #eATA Carnet, nearly 24 000 border transactions have been completed with digital carnets, marking a major milestone in the digitalisation of global trade.

At a Private Sector Working Lunch on the sidelines of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC), organized by @iccwbo SG John Denton @ICCSecGen. With participants from the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, @Airbus, @Siemens, @DeutscheBank, @HSBC, Rรถhlig Logistics, and others. Discussing the value of the @wto and progress on WTO reforms. Very instructive to listen to the concerns and requirements of the private sector, including their desire for stability and predictability of the global trading system as a way to help them manage pervasive uncertainty. Great interest in WTO reforms helping to deliver agility and responsiveness to changes in the global environment and to support reforms that deliver fairness and a smooth functioning of supply chains.
โ ๏ธ Scam advertising is no longer just a consumer protection issue.
It has become one of the defining threats of the digital economy, harming consumers, undermining legitimate businesses and enabling wider fraud.
Co-developed with the @ScamAlliance, our new framework moves the conversation beyond the problem and focuses on practical action.
Built on input from across the ecosystem, it sets out principles and best practices to help platforms, agencies and policymakers strengthen scam prevention efforts through stronger safeguards, greater transparency and closer collaboration.
No single organisation can tackle this challenge alone. Strengthening trust in the digital marketplace will require collective action and shared responsibility.

Sustainability is not a trade-off with growth.
For businesses, it is a driver of competitiveness, innovation and long-term value creationโbut only when the right conditions are in place.
Coherent global policy frameworks give businesses the confidence to invest, innovate and scale solutions.
This was our key message at both the #HSC2026 and at the first in-person meeting of the Technical Expert Panel during #LCAW.
There, experts explored practical approaches to globally consistent, credible and scalable carbon accounting to help incentivise lower-carbon production and accelerate emissions reductions.
The same principle underpins our latest statement on the Friends of the Cali Fund initiative: https://t.co/9VCUoM1Hjb / @ICCSecGen
