@MissGreenBean89 oh you’re a teacher! Aha, yes the gothic unseen was Hawthorne’s “The White Old Maiden”, a rather obscure Early Victorian gothic text. It’s the scene in which the two girls appear before the dead body and quarrel over who shall stay with it - I believe early on in the story
