Long term storage (weeks/months when not using the system): Charge to 40 - 50% only, then turn off or store safely. Check every 3 months and top up to 40 - 50% if needed.
Keep it cool: Always avoid the cells getting hot - heat kills solar batteries quickly.
Use your inverter/charge controller properly: Prefer slower, steady charging from solar panels when possible. Don’t constantly float at 100% or let it drop to 0%.
Unplug or set limits so it doesn’t stay full overnight unnecessarily.
