It would be really funny if Fear and Hunger Termina got character specific joke endings in an update, but to keep in line with Daan's other fates, his joke ending starts becoming less and less funny and by the end of it, it's sad/horrifying.
I've only played one horror game where people shit themselves after they die.
This isn't a tweet to say that I or any other horror dev should do that, nor do I want to see more this, but just something I realized.
It's very fun to figure out WHY something doesn't work so you can avoid making the same mistakes rather than just saying "I hate this one thing so I'll never do that". Dissect it and possibly figure out how it could've been done better.
I recommend every game dev occassionally play a game that's absolutely dogshit. Not a boring mediocre game that the internet thinks is proof of god's hatred of mankind, but a game that screams "nobody working on this was treated well".
Study the game. Learn its bones.
@JhangVanguard Easy. A professional overexposed photo of myself naked in the woods chasing the cameraman while covered in pigs' blood. Gotta make sure I look my best after all.
I think solo devs should do that thing that book authors do and slap a professional photo of themselves next to their name in the credits.
Or if you don't wish to be seen, put a photo of something badass, like a polar bear or something.
Glados vs AM? Nah, Glados should just unleash Chell on AM. I don't know how, but that lady will somehow drive that incel-coded computer even more mad and probably send him to pluto or some shit.
It's the next day and I think the conclusion I've come to is that I dreadfully miss creating fanworks under this name. Of course I love making my own shit, but making fan content was so much fun.
Me normally: I love both funger games so much. Despite how depressing the games are, I also love how the fandom can make funny and joyful things with it!
Me tonight apparently: What if I made a Termina mod that somehow makes things far more upsetting
Me: *trying to work on the game dev stuff that actually funds the means to live*
My brain: hey you should make a mod for that other rpgmaker mv game you love so much, here's a bunch of gameplay and story details btw
Me: *writes notes down in a doc, but mad*
Last night I dreampt that I was beating up a guy who spat on the name of my grandmother by making a shitty paranormal horror movie about her and helping me was a realistic mini horse Applejack wearing a denim jacket and jeans. She could not talk, she was just a horse.
On another relevant note, one of my dream games to do is a live action fmv adventure game adapting Dracula. Except everything is to the exact word, none of the actors are filmed in the same space (green screens), and homonyms may be exploited for comedic effect.
