@JosephDubecky@archeohistories Many ancient Roman statues, even marble ones are headless, as well as armless. Those sections were often carved separately then attached to the body. The head was frequently a different material such as ivory, and decorated with glass eyes and precious gems and metals.
@EmBeDUB@JFreshHockey Goalies typically take longer than skaters to develop. It takes them longer to reach the NHL, much less become a starter. Brandon Bussi at 26 is a year older than Swayman. It's a no brainer to lock up a proven young goalie into their 30s, when they typically peak.
@KevinWeekes Masks I've worn since the 70s, upper left is my current one. Plastic one is a WinnWell. Jacques Plante Fibrosport at lower left, and that's a genuine Ernie Higgins that he made for me circa 1976
Without knowing the number of SOGs, it was most apparent that Hamilton dominated Wesleyan in today's 2-0 win. It turns out that Marc Smith's 49 saves in the loss set a Wesleyan record for most saves in a regulation game by a goalie: https://t.co/rVDWz4Mc0s
@MurryGunty@MYHockeyRanking Never seen a worse analogy. Completely insensitive, especially in regard to athletes who became addicted to opioids due to chronic pain from sports injuries.
@MurryGunty@MYHockeyRanking None of my son's coaches from EHF through U18 ever played like that, except maybe in a tournament when GA or +/- was a tie breaker. Win or tie > loss.
@SSH3131@MurryGunty@SPAdvising@MYHockeyRanking Why would any team want to win by 20 goals? The cap on goal differential discourages running up the score. Any top team that is in a league faces the same issue of "dropping" in the rankings when their scheduling inevitably includes a few weaker teams. Just win the tough games.
@DefiantRobin28@CDCgov You're right that those with weak immune systems are more prone to unusual infections but that's not the case here. They didn't "catch" this, the fungus was injected into their spinal fluid. There was a much worse event in the US in 2012 long before COVID

@Jd1Basil@CDCgov Why the knee jerk response? This is clearly caused by injection of contaminated medication, not a contagious outbreak. A much more serious event happened in the US in 2012 from tainted steroids produced by a compounding pharmacy.

@DefiantRobin28@CDCgov There is no vaccine against Fungal meningitis as it is rare, and not contagious.
Meningococci are Bacteria and can spread from person to person via respiratory sections, especially in close quarters, hence the need for the vaccine. Meningitis has various causes.
