Piranesi was an excellent book. Equal parts dreamy and insidiously dreadful. It’s still lingering with me and I can’t figure out if I’m sad or happy.

Finally finished the Red Rising trilogy. Overall an 8/10 series. I enjoyed the momentum the first two books created but the third book definitely was leaving room for the sequel quartet. Will return after a few other series to see the conclusion.

Red Rising was a great novel for the YA audience. There were moments of genius buried in less than stellar writing and some problematic characterizations. On to Golden Son.

The White Rose is complete. The beginning and end were better than the middle and it ended up being a quite sad but hopeful ending. Not too bad but I need a break from Croaker and the Company.

Okay so Shadows Linger of the Chronicles of the Black Company was interesting. Not my favorite book but it was still engaging and moved along. While it lost a lot of mystery for me from the first book, it was still enjoyable.
