Americans are reporting ground beef they are buying no longer has the right consistency, the more like Play-Doh or slime

If you look at the meet shown, it’s very clear it’s not the meat we all grew up with. This new grocery store meat is being much more heavily processed and having fillers added into it

Newer supermarket ground beef is now being ground very finely at large facilities and then tightly packed and compressed. This “suffocates” the meat, leading to a denser, putty-like consistency. But they also use fillers like ‘pink slime’

Lean Finely Textured Beef is combined with Pink Slime. Beef trimmings are heated, centrifuged to remove fat, treated and then blended in. It creates a finer, more uniform, paste-like texture to reduce cost

So you likely aren’t getting ground beef like we used to buy, it’s more of a paste like mix of beef trimmings and processing treatments

NEW: 'Elf' actor Faizon Love makes his first court appearance in Florida after being arrested.

Love is reportedly facing two contempt of court charges relating to a child support case where his ex, Tiffany Lee, claims he owes her $250,000.

Love says he is broke, only making about $10,000 a year from royalty checks from Elf.

The actor says he drives a 1999 car and sometimes has to live in it.

According to Tampa Bay News, Love was first arrested in California a couple of weeks ago and has served 16 days in jail.

"To my knowledge, he was picked up in Riverside County, California and transported some days later to Hillsborough County on orders of contempt from the Honorable Judge Mark Kiser," his attorney said.

Love has since been released from jail.
