ik the backlash was ridiculous but we shouldn’t end this boycott just because non black DC fans don’t stand with us. we’d like them to understand but it shouldn’t be an expectation given humanity’s history.
The “what about us?” And “why can’t we be included?” Talking points is one of the reasons why the boycott didn’t end up working out. It’s very frustrating when black people have to make room for literally everyone else instead of yall coming up with yalls own movements.
"Boycott" 😭 and nothing happened because clearly there was organization to meet the goal and nonblack marginalized people pulling an "all books matter" that could've been resolved with common sense.
The boycott wasn’t perfect… but none of it deserved y’alls weird ass co-opting and backlash.
Especially when NONE of you were even remotely considering partipating or considering the cause at all
Thank you to everyone. We apologize for the division we caused and for the disrespect to the comic creators who work their tails off in this industry #DCSoWhite
The excuse was they wanted a black writer to write cyborg meanwhile 50% of the Robin book is lead by an Asian boy and they had no reservations about that
It will never stop being completely infuriating to me that every Titan from the cartoon lineup EXCEPT Cyborg got a focus book in the Picolo/Garcia series #DCSoWhite
