@adamcarolla i will never forget- my son lost nearly all of his middle school learning yes- only had 1/2 of 6th grade and no 7th grade & no real grades permitted in his 8th grade & was so far behind by 9th grade- paid for writing tutor and we read as often but was still behind for two years
