Safe healthcare requires having enough medical professionals to provide high-quality care no matter where you live. Idaho is 50th out of 51 (including Washington, D.C.) in patient-to-provider ratios. We also lost 35% of our practicing obstetricians between 2022 and December 2024.

During National Immunization Awareness Month, we’re tracking the stats. Idaho’s immunization rates have fallen steadily since 2011. Immunizations ensure that every Idahoan is better protected from contagious illnesses.

Many think that Idaho’s abortion bans only impact women who are pregnant. But Idaho laws are vague, and they carry heavy penalties and potential loss of license. Doctors have to choose between delivering evidence-based, standard medical care and breaking the law.
