Next week, I will be taking 3 students and 2 teachers to Rome, Italy, all expenses paid by me.
All visas have been issued and all arrangements have been sorted.
The students will represent Nigeria in the Maths and Science categories of the International STEM Olympiad.
They will compete alongside 154 other countries.
The students who won the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad and the teachers who supported them are going. Both the teachers and the students will experience growth together.
I will continue to push our bright minds to global stages.
In 10 years, I pray you will be alive to see the outcome of our investments in our children today.
@Lulu__Ags@eugosays I struggle to understand his thought process. Did he imagine he'd do all that and simply ride off into the sunset with his new found love and nobody will question the whereabouts of his wife and kids? And his new woman will be comfortable making a life with a killer?? Insane af.
Parents and relatives who pardon, condone or settle with perverted adults who sexually abuse minors are reprobates.
They should be prosecuted along with the culprits.
How do you look at a child and get erection as a man?
It’s unspeakable evil.
25,000 students have now registered for the 2027 South East Maths Olympiad.
Boys: 11,570
Girls: 13,430
State Breakdown
Imo - 7,819
Enugu - 5,813
Abia - 5,178
Ebonyi - 4,438
Anambra - 1,752
This is becoming one of the largest academic competitions on the African continent.
What excites me most is not the numbers.
It's the fact that 25,000 young minds voluntarily signed up to challenge themselves in mathematics, problem-solving, critical thinking, and discipline.
While others are investing in consumption, we are investing in human capital.
The future of any society is determined by the quality of its children.
If we consistently identify, train, challenge, and support these students over the next 10 years, the South East can produce one of the most skilled workforces in Africa.
Today's Olympiad participants are tomorrow's engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, and nation-builders.
This is bigger than a competition.
It is a workforce development project for the future of Africa.
Former Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew once said that he learn't from the failure of Nigeria while building Singapore from a third world to a first world nation.
Nigeria gained it's independence in 1960 while Singapore gained theirs in 1965.
Our both countries where colonized by the British.
He said that Nigeria lacked the will to be a nation.
In his 1966 visit to Lagos, he observed that Nigeria's leaders were utilizing their positions for self-enrichment and private ventures rather than national advancement.
For example, he recounted a conversation with Nigeria's Finance Minister at the time, who implemented protective import tariffs on shoes primarily so that he could retire and successfully run his own shoemaking factory.
He learned from this that state resources were being heavily diverted to build personal wealth instead of establishing long-term, meritocratic, and productive institutions.
He concluded that vast natural and human resources could not substitute for a cohesive national identity and honest, competent leadership.
How i wish Nigeria can go back to basics and start fixing from there.
I just watched this disturbing video of nursery school pupils of Community Primary School, Umuora Obulechi, Oriuzor, in Ezza North LGA of Ebonyi State, receiving lessons in their terrible classroom.
The government just suspended the teacher and principal for letting someone show the rot in this school.
This same state spent billions sending a handful of persons to the UK for education while ignoring the poor children and poor families.
Let’s find the suspended teachers and support them.
We can pay them a year salary each and find other ways to support them.
For the government that suspended them, shame on you.
Fix this school for Christ sake and don’t be wicked to these children.
Today, we visited these schools in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State to spread the good news of Mathematics.
Mathematics is too critical for the development of South East and we are radicalizing it.
In 10 years we will be the greatest workforce in Africa.
@winexviv Suspended? He should be fired and in jail. But then this means the universities might end up with no lecturers at all because there's just way too many of them just like this disgraceful man, it has become a norm. Thank you for all that you're doing 🙏.
@winexviv Every well meaning Igbo elite should rise and join this. Good people have stayed too quiet for too long, it has allowed charlatans and riffraffs to overrun the South East. God bless your efforts sir 🙏
