@Serena_Partrick You first judge others' gender based on biased opinions about their appearance, and yet you still have the nerve to mock them—quite something, white people.
@HazelAppleyard_ I definitely won't forget how you bullied Asian women, misgendering them as men, and failing to provide evidence, only making an X sign with your hands.
@ahmedhessaan@PaulaYScanlan During the last Tokyo Olympics, she was eliminated in the round of 16, and no one said anything. Now that she's won a gold medal, you're accusing her of being a man.
@cecile_shaw8@souichi_lai So I'm a misogynist just because I pointed out your fault? Great logic. Now you guys just rant about people of color without caring about the truth. Lin Yu-Ting is a real woman, and your baseless attacks on her are what true misogyny looks like.
We strongly condemn @RussiaUN’s @Dpol_un for the accusations against Olympic athletes, citing false claims from the discredited IBA. #Taiwan🇹🇼 female boxer Lin Yu-Ting’s IOC-confirmed eligibility for #Paris2024 is indisputable. #UN Security Council should have no place for lies!
Lin Yu-Ting was born a woman. She has been female since birth. She is participating in the boxing tournament at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 with her strength and has complied with all applicable medical regulations set by the Paris 2024 Boxing Unit, which have been consistently applied throughout all qualification events.
Lin Yu-Ting is a victim of the sudden and arbitrary decision by the IBA. Up to now, the IBA has not provided any evidence. The IBA should establish a legitimate and clear gender testing procedure, instead of repeatedly and baselessly claiming that “Taiwan is a part of China.”
This cannot erase the fact that Lin Yu-Ting represents Taiwan as a female athlete.
We reiterate that everyone has the right to participate in sports without discrimination. Moreover, anyone who supports the rights of female athletes should stand against this bullying behavior.
The attack on Lin Yu-Ting is a form of international bullying. But she never gives up, and she has reached the final despite the eligibility dispute.
“The more we’re bullied, the stronger we become.”
We, the Taiwanese people, will always stand with her and be her strongest support. 💪
[INTERVIEW SHORT VERSION] Three years after an early upset at the #TokyoOlympics where she was going for gold, Taiwanese boxer #LinYuTing fought her way to #Paris. Speaking with CNA, she shared her journey since Tokyo and her hopes for this year’s Games. #Olympics#Boxing
The attacks on Lin Yu-ting & Imane Khelif show the deep harm caused by "sex testing" in sports. These policies violate women's privacy and dignity. The IOC's stand reminds us that every woman deserves the right to compete with respect and fairness.
