Hummingbirds (New World) and sunbirds (Old World) fill similar ecological niches with their small size and nectar-based diets, although completely unrelated and found on opposite sides of the globe. These two look especially alike!

The female Copper-throated Sunbird also makes a nice equivalent to a female Red-legged Honeycreeper! Honeycreepers are small, colorful tropical tanagers that ALSO eat nectar!
