I was shooting heroin and reading “The Fountainhead” in the front seat of my privately owned police cruiser when a call came in. I put a quarter in the radio to activate it. It was the chief.
“Bad news, detective. We got a situation.”
“What? Is the mayor trying to ban trans fats again?”
“Worse. Somebody just stole four hundred and forty-seven million dollars’ worth of bitcoins.”
The heroin needle practically fell out of my arm. “What kind of monster would do something like that? Bitcoins are the ultimate currency: virtual, anonymous, stateless. They represent true economic freedom, not subject to arbitrary manipulation by any government. Do we have any leads?”
“Not yet. But mark my words: we’re going to figure out who did this and we’re going to take them down … provided someone pays us a fair market rate to do so.”
“Easy, chief,” I said. “Any rate the market offers is, by definition, fair.”
He laughed. “That’s why you’re the best I got, Lisowski. Now you get out there and find those bitcoins.”
“Don’t worry,” I said. “I’m on it.”
I put a quarter in the siren. Ten minutes later, I was on the scene. It was a normal office building, strangled on all sides by public sidewalks. I hopped over them and went inside.
“Home Depot™ Presents the Police!®” I said, flashing my badge and my gun and a small picture of Ron Paul. “Nobody move unless you want to!” They didn’t.
“Now, which one of you punks is going to pay me to investigate this crime?” No one spoke up.
“Come on,” I said. “Don’t you all understand that the protection of private property is the foundation of all personal liberty?”
It didn’t seem like they did.
“Seriously, guys. Without a strong economic motivator, I’m just going to stand here and not solve this case. Cash is fine, but I prefer being paid in gold bullion or autographed Penn Jillette posters.”
Nothing. These people were stonewalling me. It almost seemed like they didn’t care that a fortune in computer money invented to buy drugs was missing.
I figured I could wait them out. I lit several cigarettes indoors. A pregnant lady coughed, and I told her that secondhand smoke is a myth. Just then, a man in glasses made a break for it.
“Subway™ Eat Fresh and Freeze, Scumbag!®” I yelled.
Too late. He was already out the front door. I went after him.
“Stop right there!” I yelled as I ran. He was faster than me because I always try to avoid stepping on public sidewalks. Our country needs a private-sidewalk voucher system, but, thanks to the incestuous interplay between our corrupt federal government and the public-sidewalk lobby, it will never happen.
I was losing him. “Listen, I’ll pay you to stop!” I yelled. “What would you consider an appropriate price point for stopping? I’ll offer you a thirteenth of an ounce of gold and a gently worn ‘Bob Barr ‘08’ extra-large long-sleeved men’s T-shirt!”
He turned. In his hand was a revolver that the Constitution said he had every right to own. He fired at me and missed. I pulled my own gun, put a quarter in it, and fired back. The bullet lodged in a U.S.P.S. mailbox less than a foot from his head. I shot the mailbox again, on purpose.
“All right, all right!” the man yelled, throwing down his weapon. “I give up, cop! I confess: I took the bitcoins.”
“Why’d you do it?” I asked, as I slapped a pair of Oikos™ Greek Yogurt Presents Handcuffs® on the guy.
“Because I was afraid.”
“Afraid?”
“Afraid of an economic future free from the pernicious meddling of central bankers,” he said. “I’m a central banker.”
I wanted to coldcock the guy. Years ago, a central banker killed my partner. Instead, I shook my head.
“Let this be a message to all your central-banker friends out on the street,” I said. “No matter how many bitcoins you steal, you’ll never take away the dream of an open society based on the principles of personal and economic freedom.”
He nodded, because he knew I was right. Then he swiped his credit card to pay me.

Near Įsrutis in Lithuania Minor, a 1595 Lutheran pastor account describes Golbė, a sacred stream. Those who drank from it became one-eyed and worshipped devil. To lose an eye was a mark of sacred favour. Gimbutas says they gave an eye for a mouthful of miraculous water
There is a famous Eastern idiom: "A bird startled by the mere twang of a bow-string." A bird wounded by an arrow will panic and fall just by hearing the tiny vibration of a bowstring due to extreme fear.
People often criticize CPTSD patients for being "too sensitive" or "overreacting," which is as absurd as blaming the startled bird for "not being braver." The tweet gently reveals the truth: their nervous system (amygdala) carries old wounds.
Zhuangzi advocated "an empty room generates light." Healing CPTSD isn't about forcing yourself to be "strong" against triggers; it's about creating an "empty room" in your mind when a trigger hits, telling yourself: "That is the bowstring of the past; I am safe now."
This is a really solid praxis.
I would only add that if the river asks for something in return for carrying this away, then make sure you give what you offer.
If it asks for something it might be attached to the context of the worry, or might be something needed for your fate
I send this to people multiple times weekly as advice on how to release traumas & bad stories from their lives. People are always asking how to remove blockages & stop all these problems or old stories from affecting them. JUST TRY THIS. It has a high success rate.
When that balance does not maintain itself, the system itself will dissolve what threatens it.
This is also at the civilizational level
Why is it there are so many civilizations lost between waves of sand or water? Because they created radical disruption of stable systems
If you consider the geography of past magickal civilizations you can normally recognize them by the fact that exist in deep deep desert now.
Ma'at, the Power of balance, seeks balanced systems as they help catalize the chaos inherent to Living systems co-interacting.
The transmission of the occult gift/curse aligns with trauma because the universe wants to take out or diminish magicians before they become too powerful to cause a disruption. The force of the universe is status quo and it fights to maintain it.
Multidimensional meaning is a core tenant of legominism.
When you write, consider the phonetics of the words. Consider the spacing the pacing and the beat.
If you can pack a thing with 50 meanings that each inform 50 then you are compacting a thought object correctly.
The Tarot is an example of what Gurdjieff called a legominism, a way of passing knowledge through generations. Legominisms preserve ideas by hiding them in myths, monuments, costumes, dances, and art, allowing them to outlive their cultures until their meaning can be recovered.
Transitioning from striving to being is subtle. Your direction never changes, but your aim does entirely. You strive for x to have y and feel z. But what if y isnt the answer. What if you already have everything you need. The focus then shifts to allowing yourself to receive without presupposing a prerequisite that perpetually delays your arrival. What if you're already exactly where you need to be. Consider that reality, bc God meets you there, and not upon a self-conjured peak
Turn the other cheek.
Bless those who persecute you.
The lessons brought to us by fate are for us to learn from. Our persecutors our guided by the fates.
We must love them for they teach
This is not the same as the self destruction brought about by lacking integration.
Here it comes... A reoccurring negative polarity coronal hole structure is soon to go geoeffective and hit Earth with its high-speed-stream. This follows after a sequence of M-flares have charged up the ionosphere, and a minor CME impact has just come in. Yeehaw!
jupiter exaltation in cancer = the highest form of faith and knowledge is the one that nourishes the self and others, and if you search the etymology of nourishment you see it says: "that which promotes growth or development of any kind", from Latin nutrire "to feed, nurse, foster, support, preserve," again which i think are jovial

Obsidian laid bare Gleams
Wind carries echoes of words
Fire is the house of divinity in all

I look to the east and see Your face, I look to the west and only encounter You.
i say this with the deepest of respect, every person is able to “mirror” and reflect, which is part of human nature. i think this comes from a deep misunderstanding of the elements, and not knowing about temperament/the humors. i think it’s pretty crazy to outright state that only “water signs” are capable of a very naturally occurring psychological experience. i highly recommend reading On the Heavenly Spheres for a scholarly understanding of these traditional concepts. they do not function exactly within the scope of modern psychology, which i assume OP is most likely referring to. i say this with due kindness. also, wouldn’t Venus represent reflection via its rulership over empathy, kindness, and fraternity? the Venus glyph is literally a mirror, and rules over air and earth, although it does exalt in water! we must remember what is a quality shared by all humans (Ficino writes about this in his De vita), versus what is astrological. remember, astrology-as-psychology doesn’t appear entirely as we know it until the renaissance, and wholly as we see it now, until the late 1800’s, and especially into the 1950’s and 60’s. this way of viewing astrology, as per OP, is actually a relatively brand new invention. nothing wrong with that! just doesn’t capture astrology in its entirety (:
