Every Leafs fan is apparently an expert on everything that happens behind the scenes.
Im glad each one of you truly knows who should and shouldnt be fired.
Chayka probably had his reasons. I doubt these were just random firings for fun.
@Matt_S_Britton Lmao even with the injury Bedard is getting an offer of atleast 15mil.
Even if you could get him to sign an offer sheet below that, Chicago is matching it so its pointless.
Only offer sheet you can really put in, is a walk to free agency at close to top contract AAV
I hope reincarnation is real, and one day I just wake up as a fly, but still have all my memories.
Then ill do what every other fly does and find someone to annoy until I die again
At heart if I am gonna play video games, I am a PC gamer, but nowadays if I play games i am too lazy to get out of bed and have to play with a controller..
Is this the definition of first world problems?
For those comparing Crosbys original contract cap% to Carlsson contract:
Crosby pre contract:
GP 81 Pts 102 PPG 1.26
GP 79 Pts 120 PPG 1.52
GP 53 Pts 72 PPG 1.35
Carlson pre contract:
GP 55 Pts 29 PPG 0.53
GP 76 Pts 45 PPG 0.59
GP 70 Pts 67 PPG 0.95
Carlsson’s $18M is Misleading, here’s why
Crosby’s first superstar contract was 15.3% of the 2008 NHL salary cap.
Carlsson’s $18M offer sheet is 17.3% today, but with the cap projected to reach $123M within the next 3 yrs, it falls to 14.6% - less than Crosby’s first major deal
cap context matters & astute GM’s shoukd do exactly what Briere did

@hockeybaddie@ericvideos91 Yea but that shows the problem. Lack of staff, and also lack of beds in ERs.
But also people abusing our healthcare system is probably one of the biggest problems
@hockeybaddie@ericvideos91 Usually yes, but two years ago there was a massive delay even in emergent. There was a ROSC(so someone who literally died and was brought back) waiting 3 hours to be seen.
So it definitely still isnt good
@hockeybaddie@ericvideos91 Unfortunately this isn’t inaccurate, as someone who works in healthcare I have seen patients wait over 16hours in Niagara.
Wait times are a lot better now, but that wasnt crazy uncommon before.
But urgent stuff is always expedited, theres a triage system for a reason
A player who only scored 67 points last year is now the Leagues highest paid player. Wild the world we live in right now..
(The player is phenomenal but in a bubble it is crazy funny)
McKenna wearing 67 or 12 is definitely the way to go.
Imagine McKenna comes out and says “I am going to rewrite what people think of when they hear 67” and then helps lead us to ending the cup drought
I think each NHL team should get one contract buy-out every 5 years, that doesn’t affect their cap.
Hate to see a teams contending stapled by a contract, that looked great but the player just couldn’t live up to it. Especially when it was a former GM
@jakebeleafs@joeyferg Without Freddy Carolina doesn’t win a cup. Freddie is one of the most underrated goalies in the league.
If it wasnt for him getting injured he keeps the net.
Also he for a while looked like he would win Conn Symthe
@tddt_5115 Maccelli is not worth over $4mil, better to walk away and hope you can get him cheaper in free agency.
Same with Robertson who would probably get $4mil in arbitration, id rather a 4th then pay him that
I think the worst thing about working nights, is the fact that if I am craving fast food after a long shift, I can only get breakfast foods..
I just want a 10pc nuggets and a poutine after a 12 hour shift like come on
