Little creative rebellions that keep the lights on inside while I handle the rest on autopilot.

@horrormuseum I loved it, but I can understand why many wouldn't enjoy it. Its tailored to a very specific audience of liminal horror and dread fans.

The ghost was fine, but the protagonist in Diavola was so insufferable with her endless superiority complex and self-righteous martyrdom that I ended up rooting for the haunting to take her out. This book is terrible. Don't waste your time.

Common can't really act, but that perfect for his role on silo.

Anybody else posting into the void as a way to compensate for something missing in your life?

Counting the Cost by Jill Duggar: pure roses and thorns. She tells the hard truths about her family and religious upbringing without resorting to cheap villainization. Hurt deeply by the system, yet still holding onto her faith. A surprisingly graceful, thought-provoking read.

Seems interesting. Sparks and Shyamalan seem like an odd pairing. Shayamalan has lost a lot of trust with his past few flicks, but this seems like a fun Valentine's day watch for a lonely heart.

There Is No Antimemetics Division is inventive sci-fi that delivers on its wild premise. Marion avoids the obnoxious "girl boss" trap and feels genuinely competent. The ending gets a bit dizzying, but lands well. Unique, brain-bending read. 7/10 #thereisnoAntimemeticsDivision.
