“objectivity” feels fickle when the basic terms we use to report news implicitly stake a claim. using “israel” but never “palestine,” or “war” but not “siege and occupation” are political choices—yet media make those exact choices all the time without being flagged as biased
Please stop solely aestheticising Palestine this is a humanitarian crisis not a trend for your 6 slide Instagram post. Wear your koofeyeh and attend protests with the intention of bettering the cause not being the spotlight of it otherwise we don’t need you
Being 26 going on 27 I had this romanticised idea of what my life would look like and mannn it’s FAR from that right now. Not in a bad way just entirely different
I’m all about humility but if the only way you maintain relationships/friendships with people is by downplaying all your achievements just to make them feel good about themselves or avoiding having them feeling bitter about you then it just ain’t worth it
Unpopular opinion but no one should villanize their friends for being civil or talking to someone they don’t like, it ain’t “loyalty” for them to shun them for you. Everyone has their own experience with people
Wild how it feels like you put in little to no effort into people who are for you where as the people you think you need to put in all the effort for stay disconnected from you. Can’t ignore that energy
White ppl actin up in the comment sections complaining about how sporting events being postponed won’t achieve any actual justice and to just play the game are the same ones that have been telling black ppl for centuries what to do. None of this effects u bcuz of ur privilege
Never really cared for my birthdays but always low key appreciated those who genuinely remembered like “aye it’s your birthday in 9 days dude just letting ya know” damn don’t care but love u
