In a year and a half, I've published around 1,000 pieces of AI content on one of my domains.
My feedback:
My organic traffic went from 50 clicks to over 1,000 clicks a day 📈
And yet, Google did everything it could to stop me 🤣
I went through 5 core updates: August 2023, October 2023, November 2023, March 2024 and August 2024 👊
But also 1 helpfull content update: September 2023.
And 3 spam updates: October 2023, March 2024 and June 2024.
With each update, my traffic remained stable.
What made the difference (in my opinion):
1. SEO isn't my only acquisition channel ✅
2. I've built a real brand and not just an empty shell made in AI ✅
3. Even though I used AI to speed up the content creation process, I made sure to respect Google's EEAT criteria ✅
I don't understand how this kind of thing can still happen in 2025...
A guy is ranked #1 for the keyword "bypass ai detector" just because his domain name is "bypassai dot ai".
The website literally has only one page that drives traffic (the homepage).
And if you check the top 10 results on Google for the keyword "bypass AI detector," you will find:
- bypass dot hix dot ai
- bypass dot ai
- bypassgpt dot ai
- bypassai dot io
😂😂😂
I know that CTR is an important ranking factor, but Google should put more effort into penalizing this kind of practice.
Who wants to see the web filled with brands like "blackpen dot com," "electricbikeforchild dot com," "bestmugforchristmas dot com," …?
