Thinking of this tour actually makes me sick to my stomach. Not from excitement.
I’m excited for the music. But the magic I used to feel about the fanbase is not there.
I know I’m not alone in this feeling. The kindness is gone. I’m not feeling it. The compassion non-existent.
just a point that anyone can become disabled unexpectedly. MOST people are likely to become disabled at some point of their life, even temporarily.
ableism is never okay + it’s not something that you’re immune from facing one day
if not being barricade for the millionth time or disabled fans needing accommodating affects your concert experience for some reason then you need to just keep your ass home. it’s so clear who just views these show as a competition and are so fucking out of touch with this band
if you don’t understand why people with disabilities need barricade to be accommodated, here’s an analogy for you. sometimes analogies help you understand something better
clancy world tour:
- disabled fans not accommodated for and disrespected constantly
- band release vague statement then band security goes against said statement
- fans ridiculed and mocked by band security
- stampedes caused after ballsacks contradicts venue-accepted fan lines
This TØP line mess has got to stop. I know traditionally, fan lines have been honored but I know sometimes they aren’t.
Personally, I don’t see an issue with fans organizing their own lines in advance and I enjoy the camaraderie they create within the fandom BUT I do understand
