@vmaryluvskatliv@MiryamDev@Lala89015253 What matters is that she's consistent and almost all her couples start off with lots of banter, challenging conversations and push/pull (which she said she loves in CHD). Elriel has none of that. They dont even have a single conversation.
@vmaryluvskatliv@Lala89015253@MiryamDev Acofm isn't a separate book. It's the same story split into different physical books but is meant to be read as one continuous book.
Celaena was with Dorian in book 1. In book 2, Calaena and Chaol had sex, called Chaol her home, and Chaol saw a future with her. Then 3 books later Aelin married Rowan, a new guy that was introduced in book 4 with mating bond crumbs between them.
Chaol was with Celaena in book 2, Nesryn in books 3, 4, 5, 6, then married and got his life bound to Yrene in book 6.
Dorian was with Celaena in book 1, Sorscha in book 3, then Manon in book 5-8, a character which was introduced in book 4.
We all saw every previous pair fall in love and got dismantled by SJM. Chaolaena was one of the messiest dismantling process SJM did, along with Feylin, then now Elriel.
It's not only ACOTAR, it's SJM's signature pattern in all her series. Seriously, do these people even read Sarah's books and recognize writing patterns? π€·ββοΈ
@Emani78269164@mysweetelain Beginning of ACOSH, Elain and Azriel had already started their affair. So a month goes by and Azriel is still reflecting on his love that he just let go... interesting
@mysweetelain And that was LOVE. They actually admitted to it. Elain and Azriel both didn't admit to love. Azriel literally says he never felt it even after his relationship with Elain started.
@mysweetelain In ACOFAS (way after meeting Elain), he was looking at Mor with so much desire Feyre had to look away. In ACOSH, his heart hurt from smelling her scent. And... Aelin was in love with Chaol after she had met Rowan. Chaol was also in love with Aelin.
@mysweetelain You can absolutely have a preference! But gaslighting people for seeing the clear path that SJM is going to do isn't it... The truth is, Gwynriel is following the dynamic of most of SJM's couples π€·π»ββοΈ
@valkyrieheir@mysweetelain@sylverblueliz Barely speak? They didn't speak at all even. These people think Ms SJM "I love banter and push/pull" would make an endgame couple out of people who didn't exchange a single word out of making out
@mysweetelain The way this is all lies too. He was still very much loving Mor in ACOFAS and has unresolved feelings in ACOSH. "They were about to have sex" love how she didn't show that seen from either their POVs and also someone tell Chaol/Aelin and Tamlin/Feyre they had to be endgame
It's interesting that elriels are still really bothered with the concept of gwynriel/gwyn even though they're convinced it's nothing. It's almost like they know SJM writes her couples in a certain formula and elriel fits none of it. Didn't even give them any on page kisses.
@EkaterinaG51460@caretonolamedia You're a misogynistic victim blaming male centered person and I'm not going to debate with you. Go learn some feminism 101 before interacting with a series revolved around women.
@EkaterinaG51460@caretonolamedia Are you serious? He doesn't feel remorse!!! He literally says he was glad to see them mangled and shredded. Gwyn has the same shame and feels like she's a monster. Keep in mind the men she killed wanted to r*pe and kill her! Pls feel some shame for your victim blaming wtf
@taylizwrrior And I just remembered in CHD, she says elain thinks of Lucien as a betrayer. In Lucien's pov, he realizes he never apologized for his part. I think that's another obstacle SJM is saying they have to get through
@taylizwrrior And Lucien kept expressing not having a home and not having a sense of belonging... which is similar to the sentiment Elain has towards the end of the book. She'll make them find themselves first before getting together (as she's said before).
