Better than @AUStinAirport
We WILL delete this account if @AUStinAirport pays us $425,006.40 a year until their ceo gets fired, quits, or retires (god forbid)
@LelandFreeman@KUTnathan@KarlenePetitt Lol bro your little fringe psych issues and cherry picked evidence are not the reason there's a 4 figure controller deficit in this country
@LelandFreeman@KUTnathan dude you know absolutely nothing about the atc shortage if you think this random dude is the problem. There's tens of thousands of applicants every year, the academy is full, they can't train them fast enough and the washout rate is high. Not... whatever you're talking about
Ok lmao hold up... Now Ghizloser is willing to admit the airport is unsafe? but only when the blood isn't on her hands and the blame on her shoulders? Last we checked the only people to have gotten killed there have all been in the airport's jurisdiction...
The FAA maintains no public archive of ground delays, so you can't easily keep track.
But back in November, ABIA's CEO wrote the FAA saying ground delays are "impacting airline operations for our carriers and customers."
She called the controller shortage "dire."
@KUTnathan Literally 100% of this reporting is spot on, hard hitting, accurate, relevant, and shines a light on exactly what's happening here... This pushes the bounds of journalism. This is art.
The staffing shortage goes back to 1981 when President Reagan fired more than 11,000 striking controllers.
A new wave of controllers was hired. But they had to retire by age 56. So all those controllers hired in the 80s wound up leaving in the mid-2000s.
Then it got worse.
@KUTnathan Lloyd Doggett is a clown because he's been in congress since the 90s and had the power to draft and vote on legislation to fix this but just flaps his jaws instead of solving the problem
Specifically that one part of the walkway at the top of the red garage is where you're gonna eat 💩 but we won't admit it because our greatest fear is liability
Heads up, travelers! 🌧️Due to possible rainy weather, some areas throughout the terminal and curbside may be wet and slippery.
Please watch your step and give yourself a little extra time to get where you're going. Thanks for helping keep AUS safe!
@renardk764 @MQSullivan News flash moron: we generate all our own revenue and take zero money from the city. We actually GIVE it to the city we generate so much.
@jcastilloooo That would be our airport management! We'll be sure to pass along the good news, they'll be glad to know they pissed yet another passenger off ☺️
Exactly one month from today, you'll need REAL ID (or a passport) to board a domestic flight. Almost all Texas drivers' licenses are already REAL ID compliant.
But the TSA is worried about "long lines, confusion, and frustrated travelers" at airports.

@KirkPWatson@VanessaForATX@joseforatx @chitovela3 @ConsulMexAtn buddy continues to obsess over foreign dignitaries instead of fix the disaster that is our leadership at the airport, resulting in residents of Austin suffering the consequences of long security lines and poor experience, and employees suffering from understaffing and low pay.
