A Pap smear can be painful for some women for many reasons: pelvic floor tension, vaginismus, vaginal dryness, vaginal or cervical infections, inflammation, endometriosis, vulvodynia, previous painful pelvic examinations, medical trauma, anxiety, a sensitive or irritated cervix, cervical conditions, pelvic inflammatory disease, recent childbirth, recent pelvic surgery, scar tissue, a speculum that is too large or uncomfortable, inserting the speculum too quickly, too much pressure, not enough lubrication, or difficulty relaxing the pelvic muscles.

So saying “there’s nothing painful about it” simply because you didn't find it painful is unnecessary. Encourage women to get screened but you don't have to insult them or call them childish for describing what they experienced. Your experience was not painful, good for you, that doesn't mean everyone else's experience has to be the same.

If you don't know things, just shut the hell up, being a meanie doesn't fit you, you're not in JSS3.
