YESTERDAY: Omoyele Sowore appeared in court ready for trial.
The judge did not sit.
Rather than proceeding with the matter, the case could not move forward through no fault of the defendant.
Sowore informed the court that he would be unavailable the following day due to prior commitments.
TODAY: Instead of accommodating a situation created by the court’s own inability to sit the previous day, the judge issued a directive compelling Sowore to appear by arrest.
The question Nigerians should be asking is simple
If the court was unavailable yesterday, why should the defendant be punished today?
Justice is not measured by threats or displays of authority. It is measured by fairness, consistency and respect for due process.
The Constitution and the Code of Conduct for Public Officers require that public officers do not abuse their powers or place themselves in positions where personal interests conflict with their duties.
A judiciary that appears to use its authority to intimidate rather than adjudicate risks undermining the sovereignty of the constitution, public confidence and the rule of law.
Justice must never become an instrument of intimidation. @CCBNigeria
Day 32: The abducted schoolchildren and their teachers from Ogbomosho remain in captivity while those in power carry on as though nothing has happened. Every extra day is an indictment of a government that has failed in its most basic duty - to protect lives.

It may be difficult for some compatriots to hear, but a nation governed by a leader @officialABAT involved drug-trafficking stands little chance of getting its moral compass right.
When those at the very top set the tone, the institutions responsible for upholding integrity are inevitably shaped in that image.
That is why officials such as @OfficialDSSNG Director-General Tosin Ajayi owe their loyalty not to the Nigerian people, but to the interests of the cartel.
They should all be reminded, as we have repeatedly reminded public officials intoxicated by naked power, that no abuse of power lasts forever. A day of reckoning is always near. #RevolutionNow
For those asking after me following the revocation of my bail, rest assured that this is just another chapter in the cyclical history of oppression. Like every chapter before it, and every one that will follow, it too shall come to naught. In the end, we will WIN. #RevolutionNow #Sowore2027
It has been brought to my notice that the judge presiding over my case concerning Tinubu is a criminal has revoked my bail, despite my presence in court yesterday, when the judge was not in attendance; consequently, we requested a new date.
The agenda for today was to consider my application seeking the judge's recusal, but instead, he opted to revoke my bail in a bid to assert forceful control over the trial. I will confront these developments with determination and resilience.
This was all planned but it shall not prevail. The struggle continues!
Monday must not pass in vain.
Let freedom ring from every corner of Nigeria. Let the voices of the people be heard in every town, city, village, street, and public square.
History shows that no nation has ever been transformed by silence. The time has come for Nigerians to stand up courageously and resolutely in defense of their future.
Let freedom ring. Let justice prevail. Let the people speak.

"The Nigeria police force, upon arriving close to the presidential villa pumped an unknown chemical substance through my nostril and I collapsed."
Omoyele Sowore says the Nigerian police used a chemical agent on him, causing him to collapse before colleagues revived him.
