I hope non Africans can see how AFCON can be unpredictable. Tunisia and South Africa were rubbish but Ivory Coast, Morocco & Cape Verde have been stellar.
Omo! Do you people know how insane it is for terrorists to kidnap a retired general, kill him and then return his body in a handover ceremony where they took pictures knowing they'd leave unchallenged?
Do you people know what kind of trouble we are in?
@isynene_ I agree with that but the OP is “wrong” on face value. He references chants but that’s not only football culture, the famous Dutch chant isn’t for football but has now been adopted for the Oranje and amplified by their organization(which we lack seriously)
@isynene_ That’s the same sentiment I have, we do but it’s not as common or mainstream anymore because of the lack of success of sports generally, state of the country, lack of national pride and identity etc.
@isynene_ I don’t necessarily agree. We have football culture, we just don’t have “organized football culture” like the west which is a factor of so many things reflective of the country at large. You can say the same for 90% of sub Saharan countries.
@ThatJargo Elite ballers or not, that Chelsea team were tactically great in the league. Same players didn’t win prior. He won 2 UCLs with that milan team also.
He’s not a modern coach/tactico but I just think saying he’s never been elite is true, you’d say the same for Fergie then?
