A huge, large living Michelia champaca is found standing at Arbai, Hlumte ram near Chawngtinleri puanthin, Sairep under Lunglei Forest division. Few months back, it measured 8.50m (28ft) gbh.This tree may be the biggest living Michelia in the state.

@MNageswarRaoIPS I remember we all rushed on open trucks to a public meeting at Suryapet to hear Jalagam Vengal Rao and his cabinet colleagues in 1974.Politicians then were so simple. I remember Uppala Malchuru our MLA Yadla Gopaiah, Dharmabhiksham walking on Suryapet streets without any fanfare.
